An unforgettable experience - We actually chose the 8-day tour. It was great, the RedMaya organization perfect: preparation, guidance, drivers, cook, everything much appreciated. We visited places of incredible beauty, not frequented by mass tourism. I'm over 70 and it was a bit tiring to do so many kilometers off the road, on rough tracks and sleep in the tents that were set up every night. But it was absolutely worth it.

Out-worldly trip in Mangystau! - Nurdiyar was an amazing driver and guide. He is a well travelled and very knowledgeable guide with perfect command of many languages, which allows him to communicate and translate both, culture and language easily. Because of this, and his hospitality, the tour felt like going around with a friend more than having a random person driving us that is just trying to complete a task. (Also the car was a beautiful Toyota, very spacious and the most comfortable for this type of terrain, you would barely feel the bumps in the road) The tour itself takes you around Mangystau for three days through astonishing locations. During this time I didn’t have to worry about anything, since they provided comfortable tents, sleeping bags and three plentiful delicious meals per day. The fact they had all the básicas covered and I didn’t have to worry about anything, allowed me to concentrate on just enjoying the out-worldly sights and the landscape of Mangystau. Thank you Nurdiyar!

Truly Unforgettable! - As the name says, the tour was unforgettable! I was fortunate enough to be accompanied by quite a few travellers in the same group and also lucky enough to visit the first edition of Ak Maya festival - which wasn't originally part of the tour but quickly included! The tour guides Diana and Moldir were fantastic showcasing everything that the region has to offer and making it extremely comfortable for everyone around. My driver Azu was very cool too! 😎 I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a backpacking experience in what is still a very remote and interesting place!

Incredible scenery - Well organised tour, with 2 vehicles and tent camping. It requires some long driving, but the sights are worth it. It is also amazing that you often have the sights to yourself. The tour guide Diana was friendly and well prepared. Highly recommended.

It’s unforgettable indeed - The views were magnificent, and RedMaya team tried their best to make it a great trip for us. We even had two cooks accompanying us! Our guide Azret was very friendly and helpful, and I never felt unsafe throughout the whole trip. But this is out in the wild, so be prepared for physical discomfort. The roads are so bumpy they shouldn't even be called roads, and I took motion sickness pills everyday. Also, expect spending 8-9 hours out there without encountering a single toilet. If you are fine with all that, then you shall not regret taking the trip. It's truly a landscape from Mars.

With tears for the Earth beauty and gratitude - Trip to Mangystau is a life-time event! 50% of this “life-time event” feeling is a role of the guide and the trip management by the RedMaya, for whom I am grateful! Our guide Azret made the trip a dive into the history of the region, culture and philosophy of the people and a fun as well with jokes and attention to details. Grateful to him for his sincerity, openness, tolerance. With him we (I) had a feeling of slowing down, being taken care of. Choice of the places for the camping was the best of Azret! For example, in Bozshira other 2 groups were camping in a narrow space of the canyon, while we placed our camp in the endless plateau open to all sides. And it was the best choice, as this is the very characteristic of that place and only being open to all sides you can feel it fully, moreover, at night under the stars sky not restricted by anything! In Airakty-Shomanaya valley we also had the best place – with nice herbs, great views and dinner under the night sky. I was pleasantly surprised that the trip had a special service car with the kitchen and 2 cooks, and we had breakfast-lunch-dinners as in the restaurant, sitting at the table with a red tablecloth and good chairs! Great thanks to those 2 nice women who were working all the time for us! The driver of our car was a good-natured young man Azu (tooth of wisdom), not speaking English, what was an asset (at least for me), as we could fully devote our attention to the landscapes outside and the beautiful Kazakh music of his music library. I have learned that Kazakhstan has a lot of very talented voices and composers. We enjoyed greatly his choice, as the music aligned perfectly well with the beauty of the nature we explored. The trip was equipped with a big tent-a-la-yurt used in case of wind (for join dinners) and with tents for each client. That made life and night much easier (I did not know that it was probably a standard as used to a different approach). I also felt that this trip is not only “value for money”, but sometimes “above”… in terms of too heartful investment from native people towards some... “strangers”. **** Recommendations to all tour operators: include an aspect of environmental education in all tours in order to prevent tourists from spoiling the natural heritage of their country. Do not give away your virgin nature beauty to some tourists🙏. This is now the greatest wealth.

Definitely a must-do in Mangystau - As suggested by the tour’s name, it was an unforgettable experience. The landscapes were breathtaking, we got to see the main sights from all angles and camp in beautiful spots. The organization of the tour was excellent, and the guide and drivers were knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend RedMaya to anyone visiting Mangystau. Moreover, our group had the chance to visit Mangystau in very special circumstances given that the lush green areas are unusual in the region, which was stunning and added to the beauty of the experience.

huge group despite promise of small group sizes - Mangystau is a very scenic and interesting place. My main complaint is the size of the tour - 17 people, which feels like you're on a big school trip, no intimacy, delays everywhere. The tour sold to me said the size of the group would be 1-9 pax. One thing I have to praise is the cook, an older lady what was preparing absolutely delicious meals. Would I recommend Mangystau? Yes. But with an operator who runs smaller groups.
