About the Park:
Bundala National Park is located in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka, forming part of a vast network of national parks and sanctuaries along the Southern - Southeastern coast. Particularly between May and July, these habitats serve as nesting and breeding grounds for thousands of migratory birds. This ecological haven hosts nearly 400 plant species, approximately 200 bird species - 58 of which are migratory, 32 mammal species, 48 reptile species, 15 amphibian species, 32 fish species, and 52 butterfly species.
