DAY 1.- CUSCO - OLLANTAYTAMBO – MACHU PICCHU TOWN.
Aguas Calientes - The Machu Picchu 2-day tour begins with pick up from your hotel in Cusco at 10am.

DAY 1.- CUSCO - OLLANTAYTAMBO – MACHU PICCHU TOWN.
Aguas Calientes - The Machu Picchu 2-day tour begins with pick up from your hotel in Cusco at 10am.
After a 1-hour 30 minute drive through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, you will arrive at the train station in Ollantaytambo ready to board your train at 12.30pm. The 1-hour 45 minute train journey to Aguas Calientes will treat you to breathtaking scenes of snow capped mountains, Inka farming terraces and of course remarkable Inka ruins. After which you will be greeted by your tour guide, and escorted to your hotel in the town.
With a full afternoon free to explore Machu Picchu town without your guide, you can choose to either relax alongside the Vilconota river accompanied by the sound of the rapids, visit the local hot springs or hike the short trail to the nearby waterfalls of Mandor (90 minute round trip).
Your guide will meet you in your hotel in the evening to breif you on the schedule for your tour of Machu Picchu the following day.

DAY 2.- MACHU PICCHU GUIDED TOUR - RETURN TO CUSCO
Machu Picchu - After taking breakfast in your hotel, your guide will meet you at reception and escort you the bus station where you will board the tourist bus to Machu Picchu. The scenic route from Aguas Calientes takes you on a 30 minute bus ride up the mountainside to the entrance of the Inca citadel. Once inside, you will be taken on a 3-hour journey tour through the rich history of Machu Picchu as you make your way through the Inca city with your personal tour guide visiting all the most important temples and palaces of Machu Picchu.
Once you have regrouped with your guide and taken the bus back to Aguas Calientes, there will be time to take lunch in one of Machu Picchu town many restaurants, before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo. There you will be greeted by your guide and private transportation who will take you on the 2-hour drive back to your hotel in Cusco. Arrival time in Cusco is approximatley 6.30pm.
