Aguas Calientes - Departing early from Cusco at 6:00 a.m., the journey heads towards the Sacred Valley, climbing to Abra Málaga, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and glaciers. The route then descends into the high jungle, where the scenery transforms into lush forests until reaching Santa Teresa for a brief pause.

The journey continues to Hidroeléctrica for lunch, followed by a 10 km (approximately 2.5 hours) walk along the railway tracks, passing through tunnels, jungle landscapes, and alongside the Urubamba River. Upon reaching Machu Picchu Pueblo, guests will settle into their accommodations and have free time to explore the town or visit the hot springs. In the evening, the guide will provide a briefing about the next day’s visit to Machu Picchu.

Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - The day begins with an early breakfast before walking from Machu Picchu Pueblo to the Puente Ruinas checkpoint, taking about 30 minutes. From there, the ascent starts along steep stone steps for 1 to 1.5 hours until reaching the main entrance of Machu Picchu.

After presenting the necessary documents, guests join the guide for a 2–3 hour tour through the site’s main attractions, including the Temple of the Sun, Sacred Plaza, Intihuatana, agricultural terraces, and the most stunning viewpoints.

The descent back to the town follows, arriving around 11:30 a.m., and the 10 km return trek to Hidroeléctrica begins, with beautiful jungle scenery along the way. At approximately 2:00 p.m., the tourist transport is boarded for the return to Cusco, passing through Santa Teresa, Santa María, and Abra Málaga. Arrival in Cusco is expected around 9:00 p.m., concluding the 2-day Machu Picchu by Car tour.
