Ait Bougmez Valley - Meet the guide and driver at the hotel or directly at the airport. Begin the journey through the scenic roads of the Atlas Mountains, passing through charming villages. Stop at Demnate, a provincial city in Azilal, and marvel at the stunning natural bridge of Iminifri before heading to the Ouzoud waterfalls.
The Ouzoud waterfalls, standing over 100 meters tall across three levels, are located in a geological and authentic area at an altitude of 1060 meters, nestled between the Mid and High Atlas Mountains.
Enjoy lunch around the waterfalls and, depending on the season, take a swim.
Continue the drive through the valley known as the “valley of happiness,” a lush, expansive valley surrounded by the Atlas Mountains. Arrive at Ait Bouguemmaz, enjoy dinner, and settle into the ecolodge overlooking the valley.
Ait Bouguemmaz - Skoura (4h30 - 250 kms)
Skoura - After breakfast at the ecolodge, take in a final view of the valley before departing for the Skoura valley via a picturesque track.
Travel through mountainous landscapes and the Tassaout valley, also known as the Red Valley, famous for its stunning scenery and red soil.
Stop for lunch at Megdaz, a UNESCO World Heritage village renowned for its architecture and often hailed as Morocco’s most beautiful village.
Continue along the track to the Skoura palm grove, known as the “1000 casbah palm grove.”
Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at an authentic bed and breakfast.
Skoura - Dades (1h30 - 88 kms)
Dades Gorges - After breakfast on the B&B patio, head to the Skoura palm grove. Visit the AMRIDIL casbah, a 17th-century fortified palace recently renovated. Discover the beautiful “Rose Valley,” famous for its rose cultivation.
After lunch, take a scenic track and share tea with a nomad family. At the end of the track, the Dades Canyon begins. Witness its towering cliffs and enjoy a walk through the canyon.
Dinner and overnight stay in a B&B.
Dades – Merzouga (3h51 - 270 kms)
Merzouga Desert - Start the day with a short (2-hour) walk in the valley after breakfast to observe local life. Then, head to Tinghir, where the road leads to the renowned Tour canyon, a popular spot for climbing enthusiasts. Continue the journey to the desert via Erfoud.
Arrive in Merzouga before sunset and be greeted by a Berber and his camels. Enjoy a camel ride through the sand dunes, taking in the sunset, and arrive at the desert camp for an authentic dinner and an unforgettable night in the desert.
Spend the night in a “comfort” camp or hotel with a swimming pool during the hot season.
Merzouga - Agdz (4h00 - 299 kms)
Agdz - Depart the camp early in the morning, and after breakfast, travel to the Draa palm grove.
The Draa Palm grove is the largest in the world, stretching 200 kms long and 18 kms wide, with over 1.5 million trees.
Enjoy lunch on the road.
In the early afternoon, arrive at Tamnougalte and visit the casbah, a must-see stop on the ancient desert trails.
Continue to Agdz and pause for a photo atop a hill with a magical view of the palm grove.
Dinner and overnight stay in a B&B.
Agdz - Marrakech (4h55 - 265 kms)
Marrakech - Depart at 9am for the final leg of the trip. Bid farewell to Agdz and welcome Ouarzazate, traveling through the breathtaking landscapes of the Anti Atlas.
Stop at Tifoultoute to visit the casbah, then proceed to Marrakech via the Tichka peak.
Return to Marrakech by late afternoon. Transfer back to the hotel/riad in Marrakech or to the airport, depending on the flight schedule.
