• Spinalonga (Kalydon) - Deserted by its final resident in 1962, Spinalonga is recognized by UNESCO as a monument of exceptional universal significance. The World Heritage Convention describes the islet as “a significant example of a seaward bastion-type fortress that illustrates crucial phases of human history” and “a masterpiece of human ingenuity” that “reflects human values.” Spinalonga has a rich history, beginning in the 7th century when Arab raids led to its depopulation. It remained vacant until the 16th century when the Venetians, who occupied Crete, began extracting salt from seawater there.
• Kolokytha Beach - Kolokytha, meaning “pumpkin,” is a small, pristine peninsula and beach area located directly across the bay from Spinalonga Island, near Elounda in northeastern Crete. It is renowned for its turquoise waters, tranquil atmosphere, and excellent opportunities to explore marine life and natural beauty. The waters surrounding Kolokytha and the larger Mirabello Gulf are exceptionally clean and relatively sheltered, making them perfect for snorkeling and observing marine biodiversity.

Following a brief safety briefing, take in the breathtaking coastline of Mirabello. Approximately an hour later, we reach our first swimming stop at Kolokytha Bay, where you can relish the renowned turquoise waters and try snorkeling and SUP paddleboarding. After about an hour, delight in our exclusive menu featuring Cretan appetizers, Shrimp Linguini or Mushroom Risotto, and a platter of Mediterranean and tropical fruits. Afterwards, the boat will set sail around the iconic Spinalonga Island, offering you the chance to admire it from the sea, which provides the most spectacular view, before we set sail back to the Marina after a day filled with wonderful memories.
