Lovely day out experiencing the landscape and food of Ithaca - We really enjoyed this coach (and ferry) trip to and around Ithaca. We were one of the earliest pick ups, from Lassi, at 6.45am and were dropped back around 12 hours later. First stop, after an enjoyable ferry trip with good coffee, was Vathy at around 9am (breakfast/musem/shops/seafront and statues) then Kathara Monastery, beautiful Kioni for lunch and Stavros for dessert, back to the ferry for about 5pm! The coach driver Vangelis made us feel very safe despite some very narrow and steep roads and it was good fun sitting back and enjoying the beautiful views on both Kefalonia and Ithaca. Vanna kept us entertained with lots of history and information about the island and you could stay with her for more information during the stop offs or go off on your own as preferred. We didn't want to stop at beaches and swim (which you can do on other tours) but to see more of the island with a view to returning another time to spend longer exploring and it was a great and relaxing first introduction.

Nice trip! - Experience driver and nice lady who assisted us trough the tour. We have enough time to visit some places and to eat. Highly recommended

Outstanding trip - We were looking to book a ferry to Ithaca in Agorstoli, when we came across this office and the lady was very informative, this is where we also met Vanna, who was so kind, thoughtful and helpful regarding the coach tour of Ithaca. We booked the trip. Vanna made it easy for me to take my mobility frame to enable me to get the best out of the trip. She also said she would reserve the front seats for the four of us and make sure there was plenty of water and chance for me to take my meds on time. On the day of the trip woth Vanna and Vangelis the journey was wonderful, the information was interesting about the Island. Vangelis driving was exceptional particularly.around the steep, winding roads. We visited Vathy, Kathron monastery, Kioni and Stavros,.there was plenty of time and opportunity to take photos and enjoy the places we stopped. Kioni was a lovely harbour where we visited a taverna for lunch. We learnt so much of the history of the Island and Greek Mythology throughout this trip. We were so grateful for the extra care and attention from Vamna and Vangelis

A trip to remember - Highly recommend this trip to the stunningly beautiful island of Ithaca. Lifetime dream of visiting the home of legendary Odysseus and didn't disappoint. Had a lovely lunch break in picture perfect Kioni. The guide Vanna was very helpful and informative and the driver Vangelis did a great job negotiating the windy mountainside roads.

Must do tour but a long day - Booked the Ithaca tour via the Lassie office. Early pick up as we had to drive up to Sami. Really enjoyed the trip, visited Vathy, the monastery at the top of the mountain (couldn’t believe they got the bus up those very ‘hairy’ tight bend and roads), great driving. Also visited Kioni for lunch, the prices were very reasonable and right on the sea front. Only issue was the visit to Stavros, not much there but the rep did explain it was either Stavros or just sit and wait at the port. The tour guide was really good and explained the mythology around the odyssey. We would definitely recommend and it felt like a reasonable price for what was over 12hrs in total.

A must DO trip from Argostoli to Ithaca by bus!!! Vanna our Guide (5 stars) - I would like to take this opportunity and deeply thank Vanna for been so kind to us from the very first second that we met her. She is super friendly, chatty, knowledgeable and super-super caring person. Speaks beautiful, fluent, eloquent English! A top-notch specialist that will leave no stone unturned on her way! We really loved the agency office (Avgerinos Travel Experience) which is centrally located in close proximity to restaurants, shops and beaches. I really recommend popping up there as the information you will receive in under 15 minutes will make the difference for your whole trip. They have a TV and short presentations of the trips they offer which helps massively when choosing where to go. Also, I searched online, but couldn't find such a detailed map of Kefalonia which Vanna provided us as a printed copy and we still use on a daily basis when choosing where to go. Very soon they will have a souvenir shop open next to the office where everyone will have the opportunity to purchase a present for their loved ones. Vanna was never pushy in her approach but rather dedicated to suit our interest in making the best choice and feel happy. She recommended us one of the best gems to visit on our own as we hired a car while on the island, which we a deeply grateful for! The reason we decided to go to Ithaca by bus and not by car was that was so well organised and travelling there by car could be really challenging. Streets are so narrow and challenging to drive. Our driver Vangelis was an absolute hero and star. He drove the bus with such an ease along the Ithaca island. We felt super comfortable throughout the whole journey, focusing our minds on the beauty that surrounds us instead of the tiny treacherous roads! The trip itself includes visit to the capital Vathy, where we had 1.5h to look around and have breakfast. Then we made our way to the fascinating Kathara Monastery, which opens a mesmerising views of the whole island. And lastly we visited the Kioni and Stavros - two super beautiful small villages where we had time for lunch, swim and enjoy the enchanting atmosphere! Once more, massive thanks to Vanna, Vangelis and Avgerinos for making our trip to Ithaca so pleasurable and unforgettable! Hope to see you again in the future and join one of your tours! Highly recommend a visit if you’re I. Kefalonia. It’s a beautiful island. - Beautiful island, and a real privilege to see so much of it in one day. Quite relaxing. I did feel we were short on time with stops, and maybe could have cut out Stavros, or shortened the visit there, as it just felt like we stopped to visit the ice cream store, when we could have spent more time at the time stop in Vathy, which had more to do.

Lots of history and spectacular views. - A really great tour with the informative and friendly Vanna. We started off with a ferry ride over to Ithaca and then onwards to our first stop in Vathi. Vanna was very helpful in pointing out things of potential interest and showing us where to find certain places. A definite highlight for us was the trip up to the Monastery but it's not for the faint hearted! Those are some twisted roads, 180 degrees turns and death defying drops, all in a coach but we were in safe hands and the view from the highest point of the island was well worth it! As was the lunchtime stop in Kioni which is basically a picture perfect postcard in real life. There is a lot of time spent on the coach travelling between places but it's a good chance to hear about the history of the island, including the impact of the 1953 earthquake and the story of Odysseus. All in all a good trip with a good company. Thanks for a lovely trip!
