Iguazu Falls - Argentine side
Iguazu Falls - The journey begins with a departure from the hotel, accompanied by a guide. The first stop is at a currency exchange office to acquire Argentine currency for entry into the Argentine National Park. Following this, there is a stop at customs where foreign visitors must clear Brazilian customs, and all visitors must clear Argentine customs.
Once the tour commences, a train departs every 30 minutes to the upper section of the falls. The initial stop is a traditional viewpoint, reached after a bus or van ride through the park to the starting point of the trails and walkways. At the end of the trail, visitors will encounter the Garganta do Diabo, the park’s largest waterfall. Garganta do Diabo features a 2,080-meter footbridge that provides access to one of the world’s most breathtaking natural wonders.
After pausing to take in the surrounding nature and scenery, the second part of the tour begins, known as Circuito Superior.
Upon reaching the top, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the park’s highlights. On sunny days, a stunning rainbow may be visible. There are six observatories and areas to relax and admire the view.
Iguaçu Falls - Brazil side
Parque Nacional do Iguacu - The Iguassu Waterfalls, a magnificent collection of 275 waterfalls, offer an unparalleled and awe-inspiring natural spectacle.
Situated a few kilometers from where the Iguassu River meets the Paraná River, the waterfalls captivate with their immense size, powerful water flow, and strong currents.
The geological transformation that created the Iguassu Waterfalls occurred approximately 150 million years ago, impacting the earth’s crust globally. In the Iguassu region, these changes formed a vast canyon with numerous rock steps, through which the mighty Iguassu flows, generating a massive steam cloud and a thunderous sound.
The waterfalls have an average flow of about 1,800 m3 per second, equating to roughly 10 million liters per second. During the rainy season, the Iguassu River’s flow increases, presenting an even more spectacular display. The tallest waterfall, “Devil’s Throat,” stands at 90 meters high. The volume of water cascading down creates a misty cloud visible from kilometers away.
