A very special experience DE life summed EN an exciting excursion DE you have the possibility to mix with people - Excellent excursion and brilliantly guided. My guide was Abiy Nigussie, who proves to be NO only an excellent professional but also a wonderful person. Thank you POR everything Abiy!!. During the tour, I was able DE prepare some pancakes that they use as a background DE trays to deposit meals and then share. Then we went for some Ethiopian coffee, very tasty and delicious each DE them. The merkato DE Addis Ababa, was spectacular and being there sharing experiences with people I found DE the most exciting thing I did EN life. We went to lunch at a typical restaurant don DE stir coffee seeds and then ingested the same like. The DE honey wine I ended up tasting was very tasty to conclude this exciting guided tour. If you are going or are EN Addis Ababa, you must NO miss this excursion

Great layover in Addis Ababa - I wanted a comfortable tour that was a bit less generic, but still introduced Addis Ababa to me. This culinary tour was perfect and a great way to spend the day/layover. Teka our guide was excellent and happy to customize the stops and discussions. Highly recommend!

Great food and honey wine - The food was delicious and the portions were good. The coffee ceremony was great. I loved having an opportunity to make bread - and eat what I made. The market and city tour was very interesting. My guide Desale helped me find the perfect souvenirs at a fair price

Addis food tour - I enjoyed the culinary day tour with Abiy and driver Muse and would recommend it. I appreciate that he adjusted the itinerary based on things I’d seen previously and found a wonderful art gallery to visit, which I enjoyed. We had a fascinating market walk, cooked injeera, had a great lunch, enjoyed Ethiopian coffee ceremony, and enjoyed honey wine!

Not the same as itinerary and the guide didn’t communicate that with us - The trip did not follow the itinerary and the guide didn’t explain in advance. We were first brought to Tomoca for coffee and were a little confused that our first stop is different from what is listed. After that we went to the market which is a total CHAOS. We have 9 people in total. The guide walked really fast and the whole group was hard to follow. Many people shouted “China China” to us which made us really anxious during the whole time. The guide sometimes introduced things in front without caring whether his voice can be heard in that distance. We then proceeded to make ingera in the kitchen of a hotel that was not listed in the itinerary. The ladies who worked in the kitchen seemed bothered by us. At the end, the guide asked us to tip those ladies. The whole experience was very weird and not very welcoming. We then had the lunch and the coffee ceremony in the same hotel which again is different from what promised in the itinerary. The lunch was okay but the guide didn’t explain anything about the lunch and didn’t show us how to eat. He was even wrong about the ingredients in the dishes. After lunch we moved to another side of the hotel for coffee ceremony. The guide did some basic explanation about the ceremony and at the end again, asked us to tip the ladies in the cafe. Our final stop was having honey wine in a bar. Although the poor experience, we did like to thank the guide agree to our ask to bring us to the supermarket so we can do some little shopping. All in all, the whole experience is not really satisfying and I won’t recommend attending.
