  Day One: Addis Ababa – Awash National Park
  Welcome to Ethiopia! Upon arrival, the operator will meet at the airport or hotel and then drive to Awash National Park, located 225 kilometers east of Addis Ababa. The park’s southern boundary runs along the Awash River and spans 756 square kilometers of acacia woodland and grassland. In the park’s southern area, the Awash River gorge features stunning waterfalls. In the upper Kudu Valley at Filwoha, there are hot springs surrounded by palm trees. In the evening, there will be an opportunity for a short game drive to observe local wildlife, such as oryx, baboons, greater and lesser kudu, warthogs, gazelles, and Columbus monkeys. There is also a chance to spot leopards, lions, and other cats. The park’s landscapes are breathtaking, overlooking the Awash Gorge. Today, the tour can venture deep into the park, near the hot springs. Later, after observing hyenas around Awash Park, guests will stay overnight at Doho Lodge.
