• Cape Vani - Cape Vani is a historically significant area in Milos, located at the northernmost point of the island, 25km northwest of the port of Adamantas.

Vani was once a volcanic crater beneath the sea and is renowned for its abandoned manganese mines, which began in 1898. The mining activities have left the ground covered in fine orange sand. The landscape is further enhanced by a massive rock formation with vertical cuts and horizontal layers in striking black and ruby colors.

In this area, visitors can explore old tunnels, caves, ruins of buildings near the mine, and a large opening at the cape’s edge. Locals affectionately refer to Vani as “bacon” due to its color resemblance to bacon. (!)

• Klima - Klima Village was once bustling with fishermen. The unique house architecture allowed fishermen to dock their boats right in front of their homes. Today, many of these houses are rented to tourists, helping to keep the village vibrant and welcoming.
