Upon arrival, gather in a traditional Ga courtyard adorned with vibrant fabrics, drums, and symbolic artifacts. Led by a Ga elder or Wulɔmɔ, the ceremony begins with libation poured to honor the ancestors and seek blessings of truth, identity, and belonging. Each participant is symbolically “shown to the world,” receiving drops of water and palm wine on the tongue to represent honesty and moral clarity. Their chosen Ghanaian names are then announced amid rhythmic drumming, dancing, and joyful singing, marking their welcome into the Ga community. Overnight at Pelican Hotel.
