ACCRA-CAPE COAST-ELMINA
Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park - Following breakfast, you will travel from Accra to Cape Coast, with a stop at Independence Square to view the iconic Flame of African Liberation — ignited by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in 1961 — and then at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, his final resting place, where a museum details his life and contributions.
Upon arriving in Cape Coast for lunch, the afternoon includes a profoundly moving visit to Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will explore the historic slave dungeons and the poignant “Door of No Return.” The evening concludes with a guided stroll through the historic town of Elmina, finishing at the harbor where vibrant fishing canoes and departing fishermen create a picturesque scene.
ELMINA-KAKUM-ACCRA
Kakum National Park - After breakfast, you will proceed to Kakum National Park, one of Ghana’s premier natural attractions. A guided walk on the forest floor offers opportunities to observe birds, butterflies, monkeys, and possibly the elusive forest elephant. The highlight is Africa’s only aerial canopy walkway — a 1,000-foot suspension bridge system spanning seven bridges and soaring over 150 feet above the rainforest floor, providing breathtaking treetop vistas.
As an optional experience, you can visit Global Mamas, a social enterprise supporting African women, where you can engage in a hands-on tie-dye workshop and create your own souvenir cloth to take home.
DEPART ACCRA
Kotoka International Airport - After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at your hotel, soaking in the surroundings and unwinding at your own pace. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
