DAY 1: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 26, 2024 - ARRIVAL IN ACCRA, GHANA

Kotoka International Airport - Arrive in Accra, Ghana, and transfer to your hotel. Hotel check-in is at 3 pm. Upon arrival, Hausa Tours will greet you with authentic Ghanaian cuisine before you settle in for the evening.

DAY 2: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2024 - ACCRA CITY TOUR

W.E.B. DuBois Center - Explore the W.E.B. Du Bois Centre for Pan Africanism, a cultural hub with a research library and gallery filled with manuscripts.

Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park - Visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and Park, the final resting place of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first President. The Mausoleum has hosted many world dignitaries.

National Museum of Ghana - Discover the National Museum of History and Ethnography, which houses a diverse collection of Ghanaian artifacts.

Independence Square - Stop for a photo opportunity at the Independence Arch and Black Star Square, Accra’s ceremonial grounds.

Center for National Culture - Visit the National Art and Cultural Centre to view a wide array of Ghanaian handcrafted items for sale. Test your bargaining skills with local vendors and enjoy shopping.

DAY 3: SATURDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2024 - AFRO FUTURE FESTIVAL

DAY 4: SUNDAY, DECEMBER 29, 2024 - AFRO FUTURE FESTIVAL DAY 2

Accra - Enjoy a relaxing morning. In the evening, attend the AFRO FUTURE Festival, the largest growing festival in Africa, bringing together millennial talents from across the continent for a day of Black excellence.

DAY 5: MONDAY, DECEMBER 30, 2024 - KAKUM NATIONAL PARK & CAPE COAST SLAVE CASTLE TOUR

Kakum National Park - Depart Accra early for a 3-hour drive to Ghana’s Central Region. Visit Kakum National Park, one of Ghana’s most renowned parks. Take a brief walking tour on the forest floor and experience the Kakum canopy walkway, Africa’s only aerial walkway through the tree canopy. The walkway spans about 1,000 feet and consists of a seven-bridge path with viewing platforms reaching over 150 feet above the forest floor. Learn about the cultural and medicinal significance of the forest’s flora and fauna.

Cape Coast Castle - Explore Cape Coast Slave Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which served as a departure point for Africans sent to slavery in the Americas. The castle houses the infamous “Door of No Return.”

DAY 6: TUESDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2024 - EASTERN TOUR

Aburi Botanical Gardens - Travel along the winding Akuapim Ridge to visit the Aburi Botanical Gardens, established in 1890 as a convalescent center for British Colonial officers governing the Gold Coast, as Ghana was then known.

ATV Aburi - Enjoy a 90-minute quad biking adventure through Aburi.

DAY 7: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 1, 2025 - FREE DAY

Accra - Spend the day relaxing or exploring Accra independently. Accommodation service only. No tour guiding or transportation services provided.

DAY 8: THURSDAY, JANUARY 2, 2025 - LAST MINUTE SHOPPING

Accra - Your driver and guide will assist with last-minute shopping. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner.
