Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary And Cultural Village - A visit to Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, home to Mona monkeys, is planned. There will be an opportunity to learn about the community and the positive impact of eco-tourism on the village’s development. Check-in at the Guesthouse will be before nightfall, allowing time for relaxation.
Hohoe
Afadjato (Mount Afadjato) - The day will start with a hike up Mount Afadjato, the highest mountain at 885 meters above sea level, which will take approximately 3 hours.
Wli Waterfalls - Following the hike, the next destination is Wli Waterfalls, the tallest in West Africa. The remainder of the day will be spent enjoying the refreshing waters. Evening relaxation will take place at the Guesthouse.
Hohoe - Kumasi
Akosombo Hydro Plant - Departure from the Volta Region will be shortly after breakfast. A visit to the Akosombo Dam, Ghana’s largest hydroelectric dam on Lake Volta, is planned. The dam generates over 1,020MW of electricity. Lunch will be enjoyed on the lake, followed by a boat cruise on the world’s largest man-made lake, offering views of Ghana’s hydro-electric Dam. After the cruise, the journey will continue to Kumasi, one of Ghana’s largest cities, with check-in at the Guesthouse for the night.
Kumasi
Bonwire Kente Weaving Centre - After breakfast, the trip will proceed to Bonwire Kente Village, renowned for Kente weaving. Kente is a vibrant Ghanaian traditional fabric, often worn during significant events and celebrations. Much of the Kente cloth found in Ghanaian markets originates from Bonwire.
Manhyia Palace Museum - The itinerary includes a return to Kumasi to visit the historic Manhyia Palace, the residence and seat of the Asantehene of Asanteman.
Okomfo Anokye Sword Site - A visit to the Cultural Centre and the Sword Monument of Okomfo Anokye is planned, offering insights into modern art in a clean and comfortable museum environment.
Kejetia Market - The next stop is Kejetia Market, the largest open-air market in West Africa. There will be opportunities to interact with women traders and shop for cloth and local items, with a chance to practice bargaining skills. Arrival at the Guesthouse will be before dark, followed by an evening experiencing the nightlife.
Kumasi - Larabanga
Mole National Park - After checking out from the Guesthouse and having breakfast, the day will be spent traveling to Tamale. The journey includes a stop for lunch and a visit to Mole National Park, Ghana’s largest national park and home to Africa’s largest elephants.
Larabanga
Mole National Park - The entire day will be dedicated to exploring Mole National Park. A morning walking safari offers the chance to see wildlife such as monkeys, elephants, warthogs, antelopes, deer, and buffalo. Breakfast will be served upon return, with the afternoon spent poolside, observing elephants and warthogs from a distance.
Larabanga Mosque - Later, a visit to the Larabanga Mosque, Ghana’s oldest and most famous mosque, is scheduled. There will also be a demonstration of Shea Butter production. The return to the hotel will be before dark.
Larabanga - Kumasi
Kumasi - An early departure after breakfast will lead to Kumasi, with a stop at the Tamale Cultural Centre along the way. The aim is to reach Kumasi before nightfall.
Kumasi - Accra
Accra - After breakfast, the journey from Kumasi to Accra will commence, with drop-off at the hotel or airport.
