Good private tour of Tenerife - Friendly & knowledgeable driver ; nice vehicle (for group of 6). Beautiful views (once we got above he clouds & rain..).
One suggestion: (from a Cruise Ship) - Should arrange pick-up at the "Ferry Boat" port/dock , OR on the roadside near the Cruise Sip docks.

Fabulous day exploring the island with amazing driver - I booked at extremely short notice and heard back from the operator almost immediately. We wanted to see the North of the island and our amazing driver Angelo made every effort to ensure we saw as much as possible during the day. He spoke brilliant English and couldn’t have been friendlier. We stopped for a great lunch by the swimming pools at Garachico and went right over to the forest at Anaga. Thank you so much for a really enjoyable day. We packed so much in and couldn’t recommend more highly.

good car rental agency in the Canary Islands - I am very satisfied with CICAR’s services. I traveled to the Canary Islands in July 2023, spending 4-5 days on each of the islands Tenerife, La Gomera, La Palma and el Hierro. For each one I rented a car from CICAR. I had booked in advance but you only pay when you pick up the vehicle. Agencies are present everywhere, ports and airports, plus you can pick up the car from one agency and drop it off at another. The best is to take out comprehensive insurance without excess. The first time I was asked for a small deposit for fuel, which was quickly refunded by transfer when we returned with the tank at the same level. The staff is pleasant, professional, efficient and friendly, and even provided a map of the island. It is really a company to recommend for renting a vehicle on the Canary Islands.

Additional cost of 30€ - I booked a car online for about 164€. Upon arrival at the airport to pick up the keys, despite the reservation made over the internet you have to wait a long time in a line then at the counter I am asked for 30€ extra. With the language barrier the explanation given is incomprehensible in short you pay 30 € more why? Nothing else to say. Marc

Budget car rental in Spain. Terrible experience! - If you are renting a car in Spain, I have to warn you. Perhaps this is a one time situation and I had bad luck, but I happily pass on my experience to any interested reader. Please, read on.
I made my reservation with Budget through Booking.com to rent a car in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. When I got to the rental office across from the railway station, it was closed eventhough it was well within their published opening hours. A sign was hanging inside the glassed door that literally said "Volvemos en 10 minutos. Back in 10 minutes". Of course I have a picture to prove this point. I waited for one hour and a half for anyone to come and open the office. No one showed up. I called Budget's customer service number, but they were not able to help, as they can't directly call the office. They gave me the office phone number, but obviously nobody answered. I decided to go to Budget's airport office (at my own expense). Of course, they did not honor the reservation, instead offered me a higher level car at a higher price. I have to say that my original reservation was already paid for through Booking.com. So I thought it was going to be very complex and risky to cancel and go to another car rental. Had I not paid in advance, I would have rapidly gone to the Hertz or Europcar rental offices at the railway station. The agents at Budget's airport office treated me like a crook, as if I was lying in relation to the railway office being closed. But, in the end I had to accept their terms and bad treatment. After all, I was in the middle of my vacation in Spain.
So, beware of Budget in Spain, and in general, beware of car rental agents at Budget car rental agencies in Spain. They made me lose 3 precious hours of my trip, and £180 more in rental fees.

Victims Scam Click Rent - 🚨 CLICK RENT – SCAM: MANUAL FOR DEFENDING YOURSELF 🚨
Many of us are victims of Click Rent fraud in Spain. Dozens of clients experience the same scenario:
Attractive rental rates... then an exorbitant repair bill at the return of the vehicle
A “standardised” rate schedule allowing you to bill anything, without an actual repair bill
Photos taken ONLY at restitution — never in care — to prevent you from proving the damage was pre-existing
Deleted negative reviews and banned Instagram and Facebook accounts to silence victims
Don't let it happen. The following are the specific remedies available to you:
📌 DGCCRF (France) Report on: signal.conso.gouv.fr
📌 European Consumer Centre (CEC France)
Specialising in EU cross-border disputes — free and efficient
Contact: cec-zev.eu
📌 FACUA (Spain)
Spanish consumer association very active against car hire scams in the Canary Islands
Contact: facua.org
📌 OMIC

💡 Practical advice: keep EVERYTHING — time-stamped photos, email exchanges, quotes from local coachbuilders. Have the alleged damage assessed by a professional near you: in our case, 3 French bodybuilders estimated the repair between 250 and 300€ including VAT where Click Rent claimed 781.50€.

RENT CLICK'RENT TENERIFE TO FLEE - CLICK'RENT A CAR, Rent to run
Feedback with the car rental company CLICK'RENT A CAR via the DO YOU SPAIN platform for the Tenerife South Airport site.
Our adventure starts badly with an error on our part on the rental beach (missing 1 day of car rental at the end of your stay compared to our accommodation rental).
We notice this immediately, but it is impossible to change the rental range (small lines of the contract mentioning this impossibility...).
We therefore decide to see on the spot the possibility of extending the rental.
On arrival, almost no possibility to explain with CLICK staff, as none speak French or understandable English.
We nevertheless understand that it is imperative to take a new contract with return of the vehicle to take another (convenient because our accommodation is more than 50 km from the renter).
The new contract is offered to us at 61 € for one day (without deductible insurance and without the little fuel surprise I will tell you about later...).
We decline the offer by deciding to inquire on the internet during our stay.
The CLICK employee strongly encourages us to take out their deductible insurance, but we decline having previously taken out insurance with Do YOU SPAIN when taking out the contract.
The CLICK employee writes on his tablet without consultation a “contract” entirely in Spanish without any consultation, asks us a card imprint for 1200€ deposit and 135€ of fuel provision “returned at the end of the contract” (?) (These 135€ are debited immediately, which we will discover later.
The keys of a vehicle are given to us with vague information about its location.
So here we are with a low-end KIA while a Volkswagen T CROSS was on our contract (still a small line “or similar” on our contract).
But the vehicle is in perfect condition and low mileage so no major problem.
During our stay we carry out searches for our additional rental.
Surprise! We find an offer from this same renter for a rate of 33.97€ with insurance. We subscribe because being outside the airport will save us the shuttle transfer (which we did not think so problematic at the time...).
End of first contract.
Return of the vehicle without any incident with its full fuel.
At this point and contrary to the pick-up, an operator “scans” the vehicle looking for any flaws (he even lies under the vehicle...); as meticulous internal verification as well as full of gasoline.
And we leave for a tour with the subscription of a new contract (under the same conditions...) and a new deposit 1200 € + provision petrol 135 €.
Here we are with our new car (same as before but different color).
End of the second contract, full fuel done, same inspection (so we arrived half an hour ahead of schedule...).
WOW! No problem detected by the cervix!
After 45 minutes of waiting and a crowd of waiting vacationers finally 2 shuttles arrive (in front of our concern about this delay the attendants would answer us "in 5 minutes".
We thought we were done...
When we return, we worry about the non-refund of the 2x135 €.
We receive several messages, 1 wait this may take 1 month!!!
Another "consult our fuel policy"!!!
Then finally a refund of 2x100 €.
Indeed “the fuel policy “provides for withholding 35 € per contract because of SERVICE”.
On my questioning about the service, more sound, more image...
After a thorough review of the small lines and internet information about this company, it is more than desirable to avoid these low-cost rentals which, in the end, risk costing you very much with a deplorable service.
We still consider ourselves lucky compared to the malfeasance suffered by other users.

Scandalous and thieves - Don't go to Goldcar to rent, they are scandalous, they steal everything and the cars have scratches which they then charge you. Really bad.
