Ramses II’s Temple:
This rock-cut temple features four colossal statues of King Ramses seated on the throne of Egypt with his large family. It includes two grand colonnades, eight cavernous rooms, and a great sanctuary that experiences a solar phenomenon twice a year. The temple was carved by the king to commemorate his birthday and coronation day. The sun’s rays penetrate 180 feet deep to illuminate the face of the king and his accompanying gods, except the god of darkness.

Nefertari’s Temple:
This is a stunning small temple dedicated by the king to his beloved Nubian wife. It features a large façade with six massive statues, followed by a colonnade and sanctum. The colorfully decorated pillars highlight the queen’s association with her favored goddess Hathor.

Finally, guests will return to Aswan.
