Aberdeen, history, fun, facts and fiction. - The walking tour was fantastic. As a European History teacher, I was happy to learn new information to share with my students. Our tour guide, Kristy, was charming and knowledgeable. It was a true treat to be part of her tour.

Tick three things at once! - It was a windy day,but John, our guide, made it seem warmer and brighter! The walk is easy and manageable, while one gets to see more of the city and learn some history and facts. Its like getting to do three things at once! Highly recommend doing the city walking tours!

Private Walking Tour - Highly recommended! - WE took the private walking tour with Kirsty. She was great at adapting the tour to our group. Her commentary was both entertaining and informative. Her love for her city was infectious, and definitely the best way for visitors to get to know the city through the eyes of a local.

Depressing Tour - We were disappointed with the walking tour. It was depressing! Things that stood out:: The tour guide started with the cemetery and talked about body snatching, then we went to a location where kids were kidnapped and trafficked! Mentioning artist paintings on the building along the way which we really did not care about. Then ended the tour with the location where witches were tried, tortured, and executed. We were hoping to hear more about positive things that came out of Abardeen. ( Ok, to be fair, I think I heard MRI and Insulin being mentioned briefly as invented or started in Aberdeen. Nice to know). We were hoping to hear also about some of those statues we saw as we walked but did not. Overall the tour seemed to have highlighted the dark past of Aberdeen.
