• Gizeh Plateau - The Cairo Layover tour to the Giza Pyramids begins and concludes at Cairo airport, available anytime from 7 am to 1 pm. Upon exiting the terminal at Cairo airport, a tour guide will warmly welcome you with a sign displaying your name. You will then be transported to Giza City in a private, modern vehicle. Before reaching Giza City, the tour guide will provide a comprehensive overview of Egypt in general. Upon arrival in Giza City, you will visit the Giza Pyramids, recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Start your visit with the Great Pyramid, built by King Cheops, also known as Khufu in Arabic. The guide will share the historical background of ancient Egypt and explain why the pyramids were constructed.
• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, discovered in a well on the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been found, but the site remains unexcavated. The valley temple was linked to a causeway, largely destroyed during the village’s construction.
• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex comprises a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also contained several statues of Menkaure.
• Great Sphinx - Conclude your layover day tour with a visit to The Sphinx, located near the Valley Temple. The Sphinx is the oldest and largest in Egypt, featuring a lion’s body and a human head, symbolizing power and intellect. The face of the Sphinx is a likeness of Khafre, who built the Middle Pyramid of Giza.

After completing your visit, you will be transferred back to Cairo airport.
