- Giza Plateau - Begin with a pickup from your Cairo hotel by a tour guide, followed by a transfer to Giza City in a private air-conditioned vehicle to start your day tour. Visit the Giza Pyramids, where you will see the Great Pyramids - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Cheops is the largest pyramid ever constructed. Next, explore the Valley Temple, where mummification took place, and get a close-up view of the Sphinx, a grand funerary complex guarded by the legendary lion body with the face of King Chephren. The pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx are among the world’s most renowned tourist attractions, even during Roman times. Each of these magnificent structures served as the final resting place for a king of the 4th Dynasty (c.2613–2494 BC). The Great Pyramid of Giza was built for King Khufu (c.2589–2566 BC), with the other two for Khafre and Menkaure, his son and grandson.
- Great Sphinx - Then visit The Sphinx, the legendary guardian that stands by the vast funerary complex with its lion body and the head of King Chephren.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only completely preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine discovered in a temple ruin from a later period at Abydos in 1903. All other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Everything known about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents. For instance, Khufu is the main character noted in the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre, with several found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860. Others were discovered during subsequent excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex comprises a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.
- Old Egypt For Fine Art - Then visit Old Cairo, known as Christian Coptic Cairo, one of the most significant locations visited by the Holy Family, where the spiritual impact of their presence is still felt. Although their stay was brief, the Governor of what was then Fustat, enraged by the idols’ collapse at Jesus’ approach, sought to kill the Child. They took refuge from his wrath in a cave above which, in later years, the Church of Abu Serga (St Sergious) was built. This area and the entire Fort of Babylon are pilgrimage destinations not only for Egyptians but for Christians worldwide. An air of piety and devotion pervades the entire district. There, you can visit and enter the Church of Abu-Sergah and St. Barbara, the Hanging Church, and the old Jewish synagogue - Ben Ezra Synagogue.
- Cairo Citadel - Then visit The Citadel of Saladin, where you can explore the Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as The Alabaster Mosque.
- Khan Al-Khalili - Conclude your day tour with a visit to Khan El Khalili Bazaars. Shops in this district are renowned for fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques, and more. At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
