Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis

Pyramids of Giza - After breakfast at the hotel, at 8 am, our expert tour guide will pick you up to begin your full-day visit to the Giza Pyramids. Explore the Great Pyramids of Giza - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Visit the Valley Temple, where priests mummified King Chephren, who built the second pyramid at Giza Plateau. Here, you can also get a close-up view of the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren. Our guide will assist you in taking professional photos.

Lunch is included between visits at a local restaurant, offering a full meal for each person. Beverages are not included.

Memphis and Sakkara - Continue your tour to the Sakkara area, located 27 km southwest of Cairo. Visit the Step Pyramid, also known as the Zoser Pyramid, an important part of the pyramid evolution process, transitioning from a simple mastaba to its well-known form. This pyramid is considered the first stone structure in the world.

Statue of Ramses II - Proceed to Memphis City, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you will find the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx. This city dates back to 3100 B.C. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Nile River - (Optional) Enjoy a $40 per person dinner cruise, including transportation, dinner, a belly dancer, and a Tanura show. Overnight at your hotel.

Alexandria to Roman Theater, Pompey’s Pillar, Alexandria Library & Qaytbay Citadel

Ancient Roman Amphitheater - After breakfast at the hotel, at 7:00 am, transfer from Cairo to Alexandria in a modern air-conditioned vehicle. Upon arrival in Alexandria, start your trip by visiting the Roman Theater, which features marble seats for up to 800 spectators, galleries, mosaic flooring, and a pleasure garden surrounded by Roman villas and baths.

Pompey’s Pillar - Visit Pompey’s Pillar, followed by a visit to the Catacomb of Kom El-Shoqafa, which includes tombs on three levels and the Triclinium, where relatives feasted the dead. Inside, there are 2nd Century AD statues of Sobek and Anubis wearing Roman armor.

Kayetbai - Visit Elsawary, Montaza Garden, Alexandria Library, and from the outside, see Qaytbay Citadel and El Mursi Abu Elabas. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in Alexandria.

The Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo & Ben Ezra Synagogue

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - After breakfast at the hotel, depart by air-conditioned vehicle back to Cairo. Upon arrival, start your day tour by visiting the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The museum displays a rare collection of 5,000 years of art, the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry, which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before its discovery in the 1920s.

Old Egypt For Fine Art - Visit the old part of Cairo, as Egypt was one of the first countries to embrace Christianity.

Synagogue Ben Ezra - Visit the Church of Abu-Sergah and St. Barbara, the Hanging Church, and the old Jewish Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Cairo Day Tour Visiting Islamic and Christian Cairo

Islamic Cairo - At 8:00 am, our Emo Tours guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to start your full-day tour visiting Islamic Cairo, founded in 641 A.D. by the first Muslim leader Amr Ibn Elas. In Islamic Cairo, visit and enter the following mosques: Amr Ibn Elas Mosque, built in 642 A.D. by the Muslim leader Amr Ibn Elas in the El Fustat area.

Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan - Visit the largest mosque in Cairo, El Sultan Hassan Mosque, also known as Madrasa El Sultan Hassan, founded by Sultan Hassan in 1356 A.D. The Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan is a massive Mamluk-era mosque and madrassa located near the Citadel in Cairo. Its construction began in 757 AH/1356 CE and ended three years later “without even a single day of idleness.” At the time of construction, the mosque was remarkable for its size and innovative architectural components. It was designed to include schools for all four Sunni schools of thought: Shafi’i, Maliki, Hanafi, and Hanbali. (2 hours spent)

Al-Rifa’i Mosque - Visit another famous mosque, Al-Rifa’i Mosque, located opposite the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, dating from around 1361. It was architecturally conceived as a complement to the older structure. This was part of a vast campaign by the 19th-century rulers of Egypt to associate themselves with the perceived glory of earlier periods in Egypt’s Islamic history and modernize the city. The mosque was constructed next to two large public squares and off several European-style streets. (2:30 hours spent)

Cairo Citadel - Visit the Citadel of Cairo, where you can visit the most famous mosque in Cairo, Mohamed Ali’s mosque, known as the Alabaster Mosque. (1 hour spent)

Khan Al-Khalili - End your day tour with a visit to Khan Khalili Bazaar.
