Must do, one of our favorite excursions in Costa Rica! - We had a phenomenal time. I highly recommend this trip to their farm. Very sweet owners and delicious cheese. 10/10 :)

Can’t get any fresher. Worth the stop! - Orlando and his sister Carolina were wonderful hosts for this 2-hour tour. Lovely family farm that really makes you appreciate the freshness of organic farming. We viewed the land, fed baby calf and milked a cow. We made our own cheese and tortillas within 30 minutes and it was delicious. Orlando served us sugar cane water that was so fresh! Highly recommended to make the stop.

Best small tour in Santa Elena - Not just fun for kids! Very informative tour with Orlando the farmer and his mum - hands on milking, making cheese and tortilla, very tasty. Good to support a small local business.

I want to live on this farm!! - This was a great experience! Fun and interesting. Orlando was authentic and informative. Met his dad, sister, mother-in-law, wife and 5 month old son. Learned about the 3 generations and how things change. Milked a cow and drank the milk. Nice to be so fresh and chemical free. Made cheese and tortillas. A relaxing afternoon. And beautiful scenery.

Make time for this tour when you visit Monteverde! - We booked this on a whim last minute after seeing the signs while driving through Monteverde. This was so fun! We loved touring the farm and seeing how the animals are cared for. We were able to feed baby calves, milk a cow, drink the fresh milk from the cow, and we were also able to make our own tortillas to enjoy with the cheese that was handmade for us from the fresh cow’s milk. Orlando and his family were so kind, welcoming, and willing to share any knowledge of their farmland. The farm was easy to find using Google maps. HIGHLY recommend this tour, especially if you want a unique local experience. This would be fun for any age - our group had little kids (4-6 y/o), teenagers (14 & 16 y/o), young adults, and older adults and everyone had a wonderful experience.

You get a real sense of what the daily life of a dairy farmer is today and yesterday through a multi-generational lens. - Well, now I have to start making my own cheese! Orlando and the fam are so nice, so inviting, the embodiment of PURA VIDA! Don’t skip that gift store. Picked up a few hand made treasures. To quote the kids (13) (15), “that’s the coolest thing I’ve ever done!”

Awesome! - Wow. I did not expect to have such a great time! We were welcomed to the farm, fed the pig and baby cows, milked a cow, made cheese and tortillas and learnt so much about the farm, cheesemaking etc. Orlando and his family are so friendly and helpful. All set in stunning views. It was lovely to stroke the cows - a real hands on experience. Great change to the hikes and wildlife. A lovely experience. Would recommend!

Come Visit this Family Farm! - This was a really fun experience getting to visit a family dairy farm. It was very educational and we learned a lot about the local area, dairy farming, and the family who owns this farm. We got to feed the young cows, bottle feed a baby cow, feed pigs, and even milk a cow/try the milk. The tour wraps up by making your own corn tortillas and watching the process of how cheese is made. Of course, you then get to try it. It was very relaxing and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking an educational, fun, and tasty experience.

Amazing fun thing to do in Monte Verde. Delicious. The tour was extremely insightful. The family is extremely wonderful. - Amazing, fun and delicious. The family that owns his farm does an amazing job with the tour of the farm, milking cows and making cheese. We even made tortillas. We learned so much. The food was so delicious. It was the best thing to do. Beautiful. I cannot say enough good things about this. Reasonably priced. Excellent value and I’m going to make cheese from now on.
