Our guide (Jentse (sp??)) was very well informed and a great at conversation. He gave us a good perspective on the city, its history and its current setting. Overall, we found the tour very enlightening.
The food tasting opportunities were a bit sparse but enjoyable. Adding a few more stops and cuisines may be a worthy improvement.
All the food we had was fantastic. Good quality and tasted great. I think the order that we had the food given to us could be improved....we had a sweet pastry in the middle of the evening and finished the night with a main course.
Also would have like to have known a little more about the provenance of the food.
Tour Leader Eileen was a great guide.
Our guide was extremely warm, knowledgeable, funny, and gave us a tripe extraordinaire. Would rate him as the best guide to lead this tour.
We joined Eatiing Europe @ Amsrerdam from Japan.
The aim of our travel was to meet Vermeer, Rembrandt and Goch. As our frist visit Amsterdam, we had not enough ready to sightseeing or dinner. Ms Aileen helped us not only by leading special shops and sights, but also by 'OMOTENASHI' with friendly talks. We really felt A Taste of Amsterdam at Twilinght as a meeting with our own niece!
Needed more Amsterdam history. Food was ok.
This was a great tour with such a variety of foods. We did a lot of walking, and wish we could have sat whenever we ate. At the first 2 ½ food places, we stood the whole time.
It was good but not outstanding. The host was excellent but I felt that some of the food was not up to expectation. Also, when we had the beer, it would have been good to have somewhere to sit, there was a lot of standing around. Thanks
Aileen our guide was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable and very entertaining. However the area through which the tour runs is quite disappointing.
Our guide was fantastic- she was very informative and took time to answer our many questions!
Majority of food was great, though the overall group was not wowed by the Moroccan food or the final stop (which had the avocado/salmon + pork belly).
Would have appreciated receiving info about all the places we visited- perhaps an email when the tour had ended?
I would recommend this tour to others- thank you!
Great tour, the food wasn’t as amazing as I expected. May be was my expectations were too high.
I liked that there was a wide selection of food (snacks and proper meals) and we also got to see some street art, farmers market, the refurbished old train service station and a mosque which was very interesting.
I would have liked to try food that is a bit more traditional (eg: Dutch cheeses / raw herring / stamppot), though this might have been because we're from Asia and all this would be completely new to us, though I can see why it may appeal less to European customers.
We loved our experience. Great food, great tour guide, and fun drinks!
Delicious and varied food, and a knowledgeable guide who also told us about history and art as we walked. A really lovely evening!
Our Guide was frriendly and good organised, the choice of food and the information about the artwork around the corner was interesting.
We started off our Amsterdam adventure with this food tour and it was a great introduction to this wonderful city! Our tour guide, Charlotte, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and fun! We indulged in a wide variety of food. The intimate group setting allowed for us to ask plenty of questions and entertain some great conversation. We had a great time! Definitely recommend this tour to everyone.
