It was easy to register and they had our names at the boat when we arrived. No tickets were needed. The moderator on the boat had a lot of knowledge about the river history. Very informative and relaxing.
The canal boat ride was very informative and relaxing. Nice boat! Next I definitely will go on the 90 minute ride. Our docent was well-versed on local history and quite personable. The price seemed high for 45 minutes.
I wish it were longer. I know you offer a 90 minute cruise but only on Saturdays.
The ride was fun. Tour guide was good and knowledgeable, I am more aware of Fort Wayne history and the statues in town, but I still learned a few things.
Boat was very nice and accomodating. Person leading tour was engaging and friendly. Very knowledgeable also. My grandson loved it as well. Will definitely come back in the future.
Great access for our friend with a walker. Lovely adventure.
All staff very knowledgeable and friendly! Very welcoming to my two children. Learned so many new things and the ride was enjoyable! Thank you so much for a great evening! Looking forward to coming back next summer!
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed it very much. Our only suggestion is we would have liked more history information about what we were looking at. The captain while he was up front had more history of the area we would have liked to hear more of that inside the boat. It was still a very good experience. Thanks to everyone.
I appreciated the friendliness of the crew. The docent was delightful, knowledgeable and interesting. Being able to get up and move on the boat was a real plus. It was wonderful to see the river from the front of the boat and the back. All in all, we had a lovely sunny day with good people on the ride. It was a good experience and I will encourage others to participate.
Experience on the Canal Boat was great, but felt the docent could have made it a more interesting trip by being more informed about the significance of the Ft Wayne Rivers. My trip on the Historic Boat Tours with Matt Jones offered thru the Parks Dept.was a much more informative experience. Thanks for making the Canal Boat Tours available, though.
Docent needed more historical info to share and more interaction with customers
Awesome boat and friendly staff! Only suggestion would work out the microphone kinks- very distracting and annoying.
I was so impressed with the entire crew and the canal boat. What a great time on our rivers! Thank you!
This trip entertaining as well as educational. The Docent was well versed on Fort Wayne and the rivers. It exceeded my expectations.
We were told so much history about our city that most of us had no idea about. What a fun way to learn about our city and to see it from a view we never experienced before - our rivers. Also appreciated the crew and how they kept us all on time. Wonderful experience.
The staff was very courteous. The new boat was comfortable and clean. The guide did a terrific job explaining things with an easy going approach. We are planning to do this adventure again with other friends or Family members.
Was a great day and learned a lot about the river.
Mark was an excellent, well spoken guide on our 45 minute tour. We will definitely bring grandchildren next time.
Very interesting trip. The guide and crew were excellent.
Our group enjoyed the ride and all the information given. Would recommend it to others. The
It was difficult to determine who to book the ride. When we booked there was only a couple of dates to choose from so we had to take the 45 minute tour. I would have loved the longer tour.
Dan was very informative. I am a Fort Wayne native and have actually only been on the river(s) a few times. Great to hear more about the history. I am a member of a small group of business owners (OMNI) and would like to have Dan come to talk about the canal boat project. Can you send me his contact information or can I book a lunch date through you? We meet the first and third Tuesday each month at Halls Gas House. Thank You! Gil Perry
It was awesome! Dan Wire was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience so interesting! We were a group of twelve seniors and he shared so much that, even those of us long time Fort Wayne residents, did not know!!! We loved the boat and learned about the history behind it as well! We are thankful that this group of caring citizens are providing this experience to all of Fort Wayne. A suggestion is to provide a way to allow people to join a cruise that they had not previously reserved. There were people at the dock who wanted to join, but could not. If there is availability, it seems like they could be allowed to pay at that time and be allowed to join. Thank you so much!
Boat was great!!! Need better details on parking and launch site. The information during the ride and the men running the boat were awesome.
The tour was fun and educational. The boat was comfortable and the crew very nice and accommodating. I would recommend this to others and do it again!
Wishing you much success with your river boat adventures. Seeing the shoreline from the canal boat level view should inspire many people to take better care of these important water sources. Thanks so much.
Excellent, knowledgeable docent. So interesting! Thank you.
My wife and I took the forty-five minute cruise and truly enjoyed ourselves out on the St Marys River. The weather was great and the docent was very entertaining with a lot of local information and river lore. Everyone onboard the Sweet Breeze seemed to be having a great time. As soon as possible we will be on the Sweet Breeze again, taking the ninety minute cruise.
I stood in the bow & had a great view of all 3 rivers-got a really different view of Ft. Wayne-thank you for allowing me to jump on board at the last minute! I'll recommend this boat ride to all my friends!
The time on the boat was great. Only had 1 problem never got a confirmation that the trip was on or not. I had to call and find out if it was still on nice man said my name was on the list except he had no idea how to get there. He tried to give me directions but they were not even close. Went with my gut and had a great trip
Dan Wire was the docent/ guide and, of course, is very knowledgeable of the history of the area. It was a very interesting and relaxing trip.
