Overall we enjoyed our tours and learned a lot. Stacey has a wealth of information to share and almost always made us feel safe. Having said that there were some areas that were disappointing. Stacey was late in picking us up both days and failed to send menus/sufficiently plan ahead meals for both days of our trip. On the first day we got off to a rocky and uncomfortable start - Stacey was harsh and told us not to talk to him until we were in the park and then was upset with us for jumping into questions insisting he would answer them when he felt it was appropriate. We asked several times to have a longer stop to sit in quiet reflection and that DID NOT happen. While many of Stacey’s stories were helpful and interesting - many were either not helpful (ex. Stories of previous tours and tour guests or) or not related to our trip (personal stories about Stacey’s life journey). There was a theme of “horrible ways people have died in Yellowstone” that become simply too much and when asked not to tell more death stories Stacey was defensive rather than accommodating. We would have really enjoyed a more relaxed tone and more peaceful silence to enjoy and take in the park.
