- Libearty Bear Sanctuary Zarnesti - The Bear Sanctuary Libearty Cultural Tour offers you the opportunity to find out the history of this place and to meet the lovely bears that have been rescued and are now free of any worries. The Sanctuary has 69 hectares of oak forest where the bears now have all the freedom they deserve. Some of them will be released back into the wild if they prove they have what it takes.
The Sanctuary is our first stop in the morning. This is also when the bears are being fed, so they naturally come closer and people can see them. After breakfast they normally go back into the woods to get some well deserved sleep. That’s why mornings are the ideal time of the day to visit. Also, the Libearty Sanctuary is only open from Tuesdays to Sundays and children under the age of five are not allowed inside.

Amazing day - incredible guide! - Ramona gave us a fantastic tour - we learnt so much additional history we weren’t expecting and she took us to experience some authentic Romanian food which was delicious! We enjoyed our day immensely and would highly recommend this day tour with Ramona to everyone!

Brasov Day Trips - My wife and I feel very fortunate to have chosen Ramona's company for the two day-tours that we made during our visit to Brasov (the other was to Sighisoara and Viscri). Ramona provides an unhurried touring experience, and shares much information not only about the places visited, but also about Romanian history, culture and food. She is very personable, and it is like touring with a friend. She is also a very good driver which is important on the busy roads in the region. We have done several private tours over the years in various countries, but these tours would be hard to beat.

Ramona the best guide - The bear sanctuary was closed and Ramona gave us a very nice alternative. Her knowledge about the country and the region was very broad and her stories very interesting. Everything was amazing.

Team work makes the dreams work - We are the owners of the a guest house in the historical part of Brasov and we are very happy to work with Ramona from Day Trips Brasov. All our guests are super exited after returning from her trips, either they went on a cultural tour or hiking tour. Unforgettable - I cannot thank Ramona enough for making my 30th birthday one of the best days of my life ! Starting at the Libearty bear sanctuary, moving to Bran castle and then ending in Poiana Brasov with Romania cuisine and beverages, she was an amazing guide and it was a spectacular day ! My favourite part was the bear sanctuary and I recommend all to visit ! Thank you again Ramona and we will be back for another tour with you for sure !

Super - We had a wonderful day at Libearty Bear Sanctuary, Bran Castle and Poiana Brasov. It was really amazing to discover this attractions through professional eyes. The bear sanctuary was such a special place. The bears all have their own story and some of the rescue stories are very moving. Bran Castle was fantastic and because it was during the week day was no line and we could walk inside almost on our own. The way to Poiana Brasov was on a beautiful road and we really enjoy the nature and the fresh air. Full of fun facts and interesting stories, this was one of the best tours we have done and we highly recommend this tour company.

Great Experience! - I took a private day tour with my wife and child to the Bear Santuary, Bran (Dracula) castle and Poiana Brasov and everything was wonderful. Very fast and responsive in the organization prior to the tour, even with details as a child seat. Very comfortable car, on time for pick up directly on our hotel. Along the tour everything went perfect and adjusted to our pace with the kid. Wonderful meal in Poiana Brasov in a restaurant suggested by Ramona. Thanks and we will be back!

Excellent day tour!!! - My husband and I spent a great day touring Bear Sanctuary and Bran castles with Ramona as our guide and driver. She was very interesting to talk with about life in Romania pre- and post-Communism as well as full of information about the history of the country. Her command of the English language was perfect! The last stop of our trip was in Poiana Brasov, the place where we took lunch in a traditional Romanian restaurant, which we thoroughly enjoyed. All in all a great day trip.
