- Zhangzhou Tianluokeng Village - Your professional private guide will pick you up from your hotel in Xiamen, and head up to the famous Tulou attraction directly (around 2-hour driving distance). Upon arrival the Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster, take a overview at the top of the mountain (view platform), The Castle, composed primarily of four round houses plus one rectangular earthen house, which is named 4 dishes and 1 soup. It is one of the most magnificent and well- preserved Hakka houses in the area where you will have a traditional Hakka lunch. After lunch, roam around the Tianluokeng Hakka cluster to have a look at day-to-day life in the area.
- Yuchang Building - Then, take a 15-minute coach transfer to Xiaban Village, visit Yuchanglou, a leaning-structure Hakka house), then pass Taxia village, a beautiful village built along a stream.
- Ta’xia Village - Stroll through this water village, visit the Zhang clan ancestral hall, which is listed as a national-level key culture protected relic. Afterwards, continue your visit to Daping Lou, a well-preserved authentic Tulou that houses more than 200 people; the people here still keep their original lifestyle. After your tour is finished, your will be transferred back to your hotel in Xiamen.

The tulou – large, circular structures made from compacted earth, dating back centuries – are among Fujian’s most fascinating historical highlights. In 2008, 46 Fujian Tulou sites including the Chuxi, Tianluokeng, Hekeng, Gaobei, Dadi, Hongkeng, Yangxian lou, Huiyuan lou, Zhengfu lou and Hegui lou tulou clusters were recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This was due to their unique representation of a particular form of communal living and defense structure, as well as their harmonious integration with the surroundings. Today’s itinerary includes a visit to the Tianluokeng tulou cluster and Dapinglou, a well-preserved, genuine Tulou that houses over 200 inhabitants, maintaining their traditional way of life.
