Tkalciceva Street - Walk down Zagreb’s most vibrant street, lined with traditional shops, boutiques, restaurants, and cafes. Learn about the river that once flowed and divided Kaptol and Gradec, and the story of the ‘Bloody bridge.’ While wandering Tkalča street, you’ll find a man with a steering wheel in his hands. Can you guess what he invented?
Porta di Pietra (Kamenita Vrata) - Pass by Zagreb’s key cultural and religious site and discover the legend that made the stone gate famous. On your way to the Upper Town, you’ll meet Einstein’s predecessor, known as the ‘universal mind.’
St. Mark’s Church - Visit Zagreb’s oldest and most colorful building, built in the 13th century, featuring Croatia’s most beautiful Gothic portal.
Lotrscak Tower - Explore the fort built in 1266, which defended the city’s southern entrance. Lotrscak tower houses the famous Grič cannon, which fires precisely at noon.
Strossmayer Promenade - Enjoy one of the best panoramic views in Zagreb at the Stross promenade. This romantic spot is where lovers leave padlocks and enjoy sunsets on benches. A notable attraction here is the Antun Gustav Matoš statue, with which you can share the view.
Funicular Railway - Ride one of the world’s shortest funiculars, taking you down to Zagreb’s main shopping street, Ilica.
Gundulićeva ulica - Walking through Gundulićeva Street, you’ll find Croatia’s first Music School, opened in 1829. Nearby, you’ll meet an opera singer who attended and taught there, conquering world stages.
Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb - Visit this impressive architectural gem, the theater, opera, and ballet house known as HNK. In front of the theater, you’ll see the Well of Life sculpture, a masterpiece by one of the greatest sculptors, whom you’ll meet just across the street.
Cvjetni trg - Visit Zagreb’s beloved Flower square, named for its flower stalls dating back to the 14th century. Here, you’ll meet the scientist and inventor who made electricity accessible to everyone.
Sculpture Grounded Sun - As you walk to the next Croatian mind and inventor, you’ll encounter an art installation representing a hidden universe in central Zagreb.

An Unforgettable Stroll through Zagreb while meeting the great Croats! - We had the plesaure of joining the Sit & Meet walking tour, and I must say - what a experience! First of all, the tour was led by a enthusiastic and knowledgable guide who showed us the Zagreb history, coffee culture, hidden gems and much more! We got to know the people who made an impact on the world, and we didn't even know that they were Croatians! Great and unique tour, highly recommend!
