Additional Information

Our mission is to explore mount Armaghan (2829 m.), one of the most picturesque peaks in the Gegharkunik region.

At its summit, there exists a volcanic origin lake as well as a Church erected on the location of an ancient chapel. In our descent from the peak, we are scheduled to pay a visit to the village of Nerkin Getashen, home of Kotavank (Kota St Astvatsatsin).

Historically, Kot was a city under the ownership of the Syunik royalty in the medieval era. As we wrap up our day, we will find ourselves on the natural bridge of Tsakkar, listed as one of Armenia’s most visually striking natural landmarks.
