Highlights
  • Boka Ascension - After pickup from your accommodation and a safety briefing, your adventure starts off at the wide-open desert planes where our guide will tell you about the volcanic and coral geological origins of the island with three distinct terraces running for miles along the north coastline of Curacao.

We then visit the natural jacuzzi where the sea-water and foam are sprayed through a chute into the air displaying colorful fountains and rainbows. One can stand in the shallow warm water surrounding the Supladó and watch the spectacular show from close by.

  • Shete Boka National Park - This beautiful sight set in its natural theater is an unforgetable memory of Curacao.
  • Boka Tabla - We then head towards the Shete Boka National Park where we visit a cave halfly immersed in water with a narrow opening towards the sea, allowing powerful breaking waves to rush into the cave with a pounding and roaring resonance.
  • Boka Pistol - An inlet where the waves smash against the coral rock wall and explode into a furious fountain that sounds like a gun shot, hence the name. One can photograph the spectacle from a lookout point or stand facing the water with the risk of getting very wet.
  • Flamingos - On our way back, we’ll drive by the salt lake at St. Willibrordus to see the flamingos.

Additional Information

This excursion takes you to the North West shores of Curacao, a location where the formidable winds drive the ocean with such great force against the coast, giving rise to awe-inspiring water performances including the natural jacuzzi. This is a spot where you can soak in a naturally carved, shallow bathtub, while being sprinkled by an organic fountain, and visit the Shete Boka Natural Park.

The vigorous clash of the waves results in stunning water theatrics such as the Boka Pistol (the natural water cannon) and Boka Tabla (a must-visit cavern when in Curacao). This tumultuous waterfront phenomenon also produces a distinct rumble referred to by the natives as the ‘Breath of Curacao’, which is suitably the moniker of this tour.

One of the best excursions there is!!! - What a great experience! A must do. Arial was great, he showed us so much and was just a pleasure to be with. We got to go into a cave, swim with the turtles, see the island, flamingos and a great lunch (this is extra so bring money). Was the best experience a must do if you can take a bumpy trip as the roads are a little rough but we didn't think bad. 5 stars!! Thank you!

Perfect day trip - Henny was a great tour guide. We had an awesome time on “safari” through the north coast. The blow holes and boka pistol were beautiful. We even got an extra stop at the beach for some local treats. Definitely wear a hat and sunglasses. Worth every dime!!

Great tour! - Wonderful tour where we got to see a lot of the island. Our tour guide was amazing - very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Would recommend if you are looking to get off the resort and see a bit more of the island.

ISLAND SAFARI - The desert part of Curacao was interesting. I thought that the island is more of a beach holiday. Little did we know that like the middle east and african countires, they also have a desert full of unique animals, a lot of cactuses, caves, and even high, beautiful waves. The Curacao Safari was even more fun than the Dubai experience.

See the rugged beauty of the other side of Curacao! - Ariel was a great driver/guide! It was an amazing experience to see the beauty of the undeveloped part of the island. I would recommend this tour for anyone except older folks, pregnant women, or anyone with back or neck issues. The terrain is very rugged, and you really get bounced all over the place! That part was fun for us but wouldn't be for some. Our only disappointment was that there were no opportunities for swimming or getting wet, even though the itinerary mentioned both.
