Good trip - Driver positive energy added a lot to excursion. We also enjoyed the loose structure where we were free to navigate the visit on our own after initial orientation by driver

Nice morning adventure - Great ride to the site, with a funny but knowledgeable guide. Wish I knew ahead of time is was a school outing day for fairfax county but it didn’t dim the day and event.

Very Informative - We enjoyed the drive to Mr. Vernon. Very informative driver. He gave us lots of the history of George Washington. We were given plenty of time to visit the mansion and walk the grounds. On our way back he took us on a little tour of Alexandria and some more info coming back into DC

Mt Vernon is a must see! - The drive to and from Mt. Vernon was so beautiful, the site itself was spectacular and a privilege to see and going through Alexandria was also lovely and a real bonus. We hit a lot of traffic returning to D.C. but our driver was very skilled in navigating around it which we appreciated very much. We did get some interesting information from our driver but would have actually liked a little less talk especially on the way home. Still…would definitely recommend the trip!

ENSLAVED PEOPLE OF MT. VERNON TOUR A DISAPPOINTMENT - Today we went to George Washington's Mansion. I enjoyed it and want to go back. I want a more thorough house tour without as many people. The slavery tour was horrible. They were very critical of George Washington and seemed to hold him to today's standards. George Washington , although he was a slave holder fought for the freedoms that led to the abolishment of slavery. Slavery was bad and I enjoyed some of the stories but the lady leading our tour dishonored him and put almost no weight on the good things he did as the father of our nation. How utterly disrespectful!!! Our cameras went dead. We were able to recharge just enough to get a couple pictures inside the house and it died again. We will go back again.
