The Koutsoyannopoulos family, with four generations of winemaking expertise, dedicated 21 years to its creation. Admission is set at 14 euros per individual, which is included in the fee.
Visitors to the museum can delve into the annals of winemaking and the lives of Santorini’s vineyard workers dating back to the 1660s, with the aid of an automated audio guide offered in 14 different languages or a guidebook provided in 22 languages.
Following the museum journey, guests are invited to sample wines crafted at the Koutsoyannopoulos winery in the estate’s designated tasting area.

Earlier machinery is now replaced by stainless steel, and traditional wooden tools and implements are phased out. Wine production is conducted in the traditional manner, within a versatile infrastructure unit. This building houses the production facility and an intriguing wine museum which is 8 meters below ground level and spans 300 meters. The museum displays the history of wine and life of Santorini’s farmers from 1660 to the 1950s through movable and immovable exhibits, complete with sound effects to enhance your self-guided tour.
