City walk in Vienna - Very nice tour, we learned a lot about Vienna we never knew. History of the city but also about the rich families who lived here and made the city what it is nowadays. If you have planned a trip to Vienna, book this tour as well.

bevandmarktrip - We thoroughly enjoyed this trip on our first day. WE WERE VERY LUCKY as 2 people cancelled and the guide continued kindly with us like a private tour! We had a brief look at the cathedral while waiting for the others who never came. We then enjoyed a walking tour in the sun, but chilly! a great introduction to the city centre plus a few Christmas markets. As the light faded the Christmas lights/markets had atmosphere, very festive! Our friendly guide even showed us a great café to get the Viennese coffee and cake.

Fab Christmas Market Tour - Spending an afternoon with Dace is fantastic. Despite the cold we moved from one interesting site to the next, with Dace pouring out even more interesting facts about each destination. Having been on many guided tours some guides whisk through with snippets of information, but with Dace, she really goes the extra mile. Highly recommended for a great tour of Vienna.

I wouldn't have known where to visit but she showed me more than I ever could have imagined!! Even if you aren't a big fan of Christmas markets, it's worth the city tour that's included. The architecture is so incredible! I was also excited when she pointed out the stand that created the first snowglobe and traditional gifts and food at the markets! We even rode the rail car to the Belvedere which was so fun!! I'd recommend this for anyone who wants to really see Vienna!!

One problem was having to wait 40 minutes for a tram to take us from the city to the Belvedere Palace which was far too long. Another issue, which was not the fault of the tour, was the rude and aggressive nature of the female attendant at the bathroom at the Belvedere Palace. This woman ruins the visit for all tourists and should be relieved of her position. The markets were beautiful and interesting and the tour involved a lot of walking. I do recommend this tour.

If you go at Christmas make sure to do the Karlplatz Christmas market as it is much more traditional than the other markets which have a lot of commercial factory made things as opposed to Karlplatz which is clearly a lot of local crafts. Dace does like to show the churches which were all different and interesting but if churches are not your thing....

This tour is a solid introduction to... -
This tour is a solid introduction to major sites, and if it's your first time in Vienna, it's a great way to cover a lot of ground. Dace was our guide, and she was better than other guides that we've had in Vienna. At times, it was difficult to hear her no radios or headphones, and I didn't feel like we got a lot of history about Vienna. She did provide some commentary about the various Christmas markets that we visited, but there was not much discussion about tradition or the significance of them. Overall, it's a great introduction to Vienna though, so I think it's a good tour to do, especially if it's your first trip.
