Explore the unique house boat society at Fisherman’s Wharf, delve into the historic shopping district, introduce yourself to Canada’s ancient Chinatown and wander through Beacon Hill Park to appreciate stunning floral arrangements, Peacocks, and the world’s tallest Totem Pole. Traverse the Lieutenant Governor’s grounds before admiring the grandeur of Craigdarroch Castle’s exterior. The highest viewpoint in Victoria treats you with breathtaking panoramas of the San Juan Islands and the city itself. Proceed through the larger estates, marvel at some of Victoria’s finest houses, and end up at Oak Bay Marina to greet the harbor seals. The tour wraps up with a pleasant seaside drive back to the city center.

Private Tour for 6 - We had a evening/twilight private tour of Victoria for 6 adults. Darwin was there waiting on the pier for us to arrive off the cruise ship and we embarked on a very safe and fun tour. We were entertained and educated for over 2 hours while he drove us to all the highlights of the city. Would definitely recommend!

Best way to see the Victoria - Let me start by saying Darwin was a fantastic guide. The day started with a challenge; due to a 10K race and a parade right next to where we were staying, it took a bit to hook up. In addition, there were many streets closed where this tour would normally go; however, with Darwin’s extensive knowledge of Victoria, if history and background, you would never have known anything was going on. Whenever we ran into a closed road, he knew exactly where to go, and we saw everything that was advertised on the tour and even a few extra places. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Victoria for the first time. We will definitely check out other tours provided by Darwin’s company the next time we visit Victoria. Exceeds all expectations - Seeing the castles and the cathedral church at the end of the road. Beautiful scenery and friendliness all around. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Victoria. It was an awesome experience.

Amazing Day in Victoria! - We enjoyed our day with Darwin and Sandra. They picked us up from Harbour Airport where we arrived by seaplane from Vancouver.
We were so happy they had heated rear seats in their luxurious SUV. It was an unusually cold day. We were able to see everything making several stops along the way.
Darwin is a very funny and knowledgeable guide who made us laugh the entire time. Sandra also has a great sense of humor and was very knowledgeable.
They made it easy for us to see so much in two hours and not feel rushed or as if we missed anything. It was too cold to attempt to see much on our own.

Outstanding! - Darwin, who runs Surfside Tours, was fantastic and waiting at the ferry terminal holding our name on a sign. He took us to all the major sites allowing photo stops as desired. We got to go out of the city along the coast and even to Mt Tomlo for an amazing view of Victoria from above. He provided a natural narrative and we enjoyed hearing his perspective as a local. He even dropped us off at the Fairmont Empress for our Tea time. This was so much better than a hop on hop off and was well worth the money!
