Hands on genuine Mozzarella-making experience - After a warm welcome from Antonio and his wife Angela, we were given a comprehensive tour of the cheese factory and even could try forming our own mozzarella-balls. We were given lots of information regarding the cheese-making process from start to finish, for different cheese-varieties (mozzarella, caciocavallo, provolone etc.). Following the tour, we were treated to a delightful mixed antipasto platter featuring the farm's own products, followed by a dessert made with their deliciois ricotta. It was an incredibly informative and enjoyable experience, espacially because it was just the two of us. The cheese factory is easily accessible by bus (circolare sinistra from train station Vico Equense to Massaquano) and is located in a charming mountain village, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. After the visit, we took a leisurely walk back to Vico Equense (bringing a car gives you the opportunity to buy some of Antonios wonderful products!). All in all an absolutely fantastic experience! Thanks again, Manuel & Julia

We had so much fun learning more about their multigenerational business and getting to work hands-on with the mozzarella! After this, the hosts went above and beyond to create a warm and peaceful atmosphere where we could enjoy food, drink, and the beautiful surroundings! Book now!

Mozzarella and Friends! - The experience at Caseificio Starace is one of the most unique and special time we had while staying in Italy. Antonio and Angela invite you into their home and treat you to a fun tour of their multigenerational-run dairy as you have your try at making mozzarella! They not only invited us into their home but truly made us feel like good friends visiting. It is well worth the trip if you’re staying in Sorrento! We found the best way to get here was to take the train to the Vico Equense station and take a cab up to Caseificio Starace. If you’re able, take the ~25 minute walk through Vico Equense to return to the station (street: via Artiviello) and take in stunning views! Overall, this was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy and we plan to return! Thank you Antonio and Angela!

Dairy business - This day at the dairy was a wonderful experience that I recommend to all mozzarella lovers and beyond!! From the beginning Antonio and Angela were very helpful and guided us throughout the entire journey and with great patience they answered all our questions and curiosities! We felt welcomed and during the experience they showed us all the steps to make mozzarella, which we were later able to taste during the tasting, which was also excellent! Finally, I recommend everyone to go and buy the products of this dairy which are truly of excellent quality. Thanks Antonio and Angela!!!

A real Italian experience - What a fun experience! We brought two families and our kids of all ages loved the experience. We all got to shape fresh mozzarella balls and learn how it is made. Then we were treated with a beautiful lunch of different cheeses, bread, bruschetta, and meats. Followed by a delicious lemon cake with ricotta! What a treat! Such a beautiful setting surrounded by lemon and orange trees. Angela and Antonio were a delight and the kindest hosts! Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a real Italian experience!
