- Hotel Daphnes Villas & Apartments - Initially, we gather collectively around a table in our familial olive orchard to introduce ourselves. Subsequently, we commence with a concise overview of the history of Greek wine before embarking on the tasting journey, featuring five distinct wine types from renowned Greek regions or specifically from Zakynthos. Accompanying the tasting, we offer fresh bread and an assortment of traditional Greek meze. Participants receive a note sheet listing the unique grape varietals and winemakers, on which they are encouraged to jot down any observations. The ambiance is exceptionally serene, and our primary aim is to ensure that everyone thoroughly enjoys themselves, has a delightful time, and gains a deeper appreciation for the wines we cherish!

Throughout our Wine Tasting activity, we delve into the unique characteristics of key Greek grape types and locales. Conversations revolve around winemaking methods, along with a concise introduction to the wine crafting process. We gain knowledge on the proper way to sample wine, as well as how to identify top-notch Greek wines when visiting a wine store. Heads up! You’ll encounter a fair share of Geography, History, and of course, mindful drinking.

Excellent historic wine tasting - It was an initiated and knowledgeable wine tasting where Panagiotis not only talked about wine and grapes but also the history of wine and the development of winemaking in Greece. We got to taste five different exciting Greek wines.

It will be a highlight of your stay! - Unique, personal, engaging--whether you know a lot or a little about wines, you will have a fabulous evening with Panagiotis--he is easy-going, pleasant, happy to welcome one and all, and to share his extensive knowledge and experience with Greek as well as international wines and vines. It will be a highlight of your visit to the beautiful island of Zakynthos. Pro tip: stay at the lovely and restful Daphnes Villas in Vasilikos, and you can just stroll over to the olive grove and enjoy your wine tasting with Panagiotis under the stars....

Amazing evening! 🇬🇷🩵 - The whole evening was really lovely: sitting in the olive grove, amongst very friendly people, tasting 5 x Zakynthian wines and being offered good food that could accompany the wine.
Panagiotis is a natural sommelier providing us with information and stories about the vineyards and wine sellers on the island and beyond. He is very knowledgeable and interesting.
I really enjoyed myself and recommend it to other holidaymakers as well as residents of Zakynthos!

Greek wines and full moon - Panagiotis is good expert. He creates nice atmosphere and shares little stories behind wine bottles. Food pairing with local products was perfect.
In Greece they have enormous variety of wine grapes. That is why educated guide is essential for the good experience. I was there twice in two weeks.

Wine tasting in a Zakynthian olive grove - Beautiful surroundings,we were seated under the olive trees, near to the sea and Panagiotis was very welcoming.
The wines were interesting,even though we have lived many years in Greece,we tastedsome very good new wines for us. They were mostly from small producers and it was a great experience learning about and tasting their wines.
If in Zakynthos we really recommend an evening of wine tasting with Panagiotis!

summer night under the stars with local wines - A warm summer night under the olive trees and stars above. Panagiotis is an expert on the wine topic and gives his knowledge across to us all in a very relaxed atmosphere, with some of the best local wines and local dishes. Very nice group from different parts of the world and ages, it's something I would like to do again any time.

An amazing and peaceful wine tasting under the olive trees - An amazing wine tasting!! The tasting takes place in a really peaceful and beautiful garden which is surrounded by plants and olive trees. Panagiotis is such a great and kind person
He is very knowledgeable about Greek wine as well as about the history of wine making. It was also clear that he loves what he does and to share his passion with others.
