- Mirador Del Valle Carbajal - We begin by looking for them at the hotels, leaving on National Route 3 to the north, towards the Lakes Escondido and Fagnano, our main objectives.
We make the first stop at the Mirador Valle Carbajal, where we can appreciate the peat bogs, with an impressive view of the mountain range and the mountain glaciers.
- Lago Escondido - We will make a stop at the “La Herradura” viewpoint where we will have a magnificent postcard of Lake Escondido. Precisely, its name comes because it is in a deep valley, in the middle of the mountain.
- Lago Fagnano - In our 4x4 adventure, “off road”, we will travel off-road circuits until we reach the La Carmen Post, Los
lamos Ranch where we will have a hot drink and we will take some walks along the shore of Lake Fagnano or inside the ranch, taking advantage of the trails that we will find there.

As we travel Route 3, we will take stops at several lookouts to enjoy the sight of expansive peat bogs against the backdrop of the Andes and mountain glaciers.
Our next stop will be at the Winter Center, Las Cotorras where we will get to see the Siberian Fire Hatchery. We then move forward to Cerro Castor, Argentina’s premier Alpine Ski center.
The trip brings us next to the scenic Mirador Paso Garibaldi, marking the end of the Andes mountain range. Here, we will get a splendid view of Lake Escondido elevated at around 480 masl.
As we reach Estancia La Carmen, our 4x4 Off Road Adventure kicks-off. We will navigate off-road trails and beaver dams all the way to the main town along the banks of Lake Fagnano. Here, we can go for a stroll and take in the mesmerizing beauty of nature.
