Additional Information

We are an elite agency known for its meticulous attention to detail. Our itinerary leads you to a hiking trail that culminates at the Emerald Lagoon. Departing from the hotel, we will travel comfortably to the trailhead. From this point, we embark on a journey through the Lasifashaj Valley, cutting through verdant woods. Our route encompasses several marshy terrains and rocky landscapes. The trail continues by the Esmeralda River until we reach the breathtaking Laguna Esmeralda, a glacier-fed lake named for the emerald hue of its waters, a result of sediments from the Ojo del Albino Glacier. This spectacle is exclusive to the summer months as winter sees it frozen and snow-clad. As we relish the view of the Lagoon, we will refuel with a box lunch. Afterward, we embark on our return journey, giving us a final opportunity to bask in the surrounding visual feast.

Esmeralda lake. Great hike great tour company - Mariana and Maya were amazing. Positive and knowledgeable. A great hike. When they say wear the water tight boots- for SURE do that! You can rent them in town which is easier than trekking them down to the end of the world. Tour is about 6 hours front to back and an amazing way to spend the day. Don’t miss it. And this tour company is FANTASTIC. Strongly recommend.

The Lagoon is truly magnificent. Something very beautiful to see. - It's so worth it! One of the best tours in Ushuaia. You have to have the recommended clothes, as they are really necessary.

Fantastic hiking - The hike to the emerald lagoon was incredible. The guide Franco was perfect, he knew a lot of details about the place, very informative in his explanations. The walk is super safe and easy to do in favorable weather conditions. The snack and the thermal cup as a gift were fantastic.

A Spectacular Photo Opportunity - Excellent group with an excellent friendly guide. Bit muddy which made it quite slippery in places but a lovely walk with a magnificent climax at the Lagoon. Absolutely beautiful and with the mountains looking on made it a spectacular photo opportunity

Recommend this trip for a beautiful walk - Great trip. Warm followed by rain and cooler followed by sun and warm made ot an interesting day!! Marianna was a good leader but as all other walkers were spanish speakers and I was only one not I felt that although she was very good at explaining to me it was somewhat shorter than in Spanish. Lovely other guests. The walk showed fabulous views of the mountains and valleys and the lagoon was a beautiful scene. Very glad walking poles were supplied as it was very muddy and rocky in parts. The lunch provided was a very substantial sandwich/ roll, fruit and chocolate eaten by the lagoon. Very glad to have some coffee Marianna had brought as it was quite cool due to thevrain and altitude.

Don't miss this trekking. They don't need a guide. Incredible. - It dazzled us. It is not difficult to season the car 18 km from Ushuaia. The trail is very well marked. There is mud, but we went on a rainy day and in the worst parts there are long walkways. You can hear the sound of the water of a river... It is not difficult, but a little long. But we are very big people and it is easy to do. The lagoon is fabulous.

Beautiful lagoon, 2h + 1h30 walk - The Esmeralda lagoon is worth a visit and we were lucky to have a day without much wind and some snow. But to get there it's a 2-hour easy climb for about 4.5km, so make sure the family can handle the trip well. The guides were friendly and offered us walking sticks. But the sandwiches weren’t very pleasing…. It's worth the trip, but be prepared well!
