Incredible gesture - I had to cancel the tour the day before due to external factors. Not only did they make a refund, they also made a donation to the cause. Closed with Rio Boat

Is this a scam? - We booked a tour with this group through trip advisor and paid in advance. Upon arriving at the designated spot, which was just a bar near the supposed launch point, we couldn’t find anyone from the company. The employees who worked at the bar didn’t know anything helpful.
The limited information in the listing proved woefully inadequate.
I contacted the company through the TripAdvisor app — but never got a reply. I called (multiple times) the local phone number listed in the contact info — no one answered.
We hung around for about an hour trying to figure it out, but ultimately asked TripAdvisor for a refund, which we received.
I would avoid this boat tour.
