Sun Diving Sri Lanka ( PADI Dive Resort S-25804) - People wander what exactly \”Discover SCUBA Diving\” is… this is your chance to learn the basic skills and techniques to dive, breathe and communicate underwater while exploring the beautiful marine life on Unawatuna Beach, taking approximately just 3 hours of your day to complete.
First you can get comfortable with a hot cup of tea while you fill your Health Questionnaire out. Next, with you we will choose the best suitable equipment sizes. With this diving equipment we will then start the dive briefing explaining all information about the SCUBA equipment; dive techniques; how to communicate underwater with your dive buddies and information on the dive site. Your first experience with the diving gear will be in our shallow lagoon at about 1m depth, where you will learn and practice all of the important techniques you need to know. Once you feel fully comfortable, we will set off for the main dive at the beautiful dive site \”Rock Island\”, just a 10 minute boat ride away. Rock Island dive allows you to explore around the interesting reef and watch the countless array of marine species. The depth starts at 2m up to 10m; at the deepest point you can see part of a ship wreck.

What is the ‘Discover SCUBA Diving’ class? Well, let’s say you’re on holiday, eager to experience scuba diving, but hesitant to spend the time or money on a full certification course. You’re thinking of a ‘test dive’ scenario. This leads you to register for the Discover SCUBA program.

Your itinerary with the Sun Diving Team includes:
-Completing a Medical Questionnaire to guarantee your safety
-Working with our crew to properly fit your diving gear
-Receiving a verbal briefing covering SCUBA gear, diving methods, and undersea communication
-Commencing training in a 1m-deep, calm lagoon
-Embarking on a dive as deep as 10m at the picturesque ‘Rock Island’, surrounded by aquatic life
- Not recommend for travelers who did Nasal or Ears Sinus Surgery

Top Diving Center in Unawatuna - Top diving center in Unawatuna! 🤿🐟🐠🪼
I completed the Padi OWC here and can highly recommend the center.
Communication for booking is super uncomplicated and quick via Whatsapp.
The team is very friendly and personable.
You always feel safe and are well instructed. The various diving locations, which are reached by boat, give you so many varied impressions.

Great Experience! Fantastic Team! - The team is great. Originally, I just signed up for the discovery class to see if I would like diving. The team was so knowledgeable and I felt completely safe in their hands so I decided to just go ahead and get my diving certificate. 4 dives and an online test later....I passed! Your safety is their main concern. My teacher, Minosh was amazing. I can't say enough great things about Sun Diving Sri Lanka.

Surprise of the sea! - Our diving experience with Sun Diving SriLanka was fantastic.
We scheduled two sessions with them, including an introductory one for my partner. The instructors displayed remarkable patience, taking the time to alleviate any lingering fears she had.
As we prepared on the boat for the dive, we were treated to an incredible sight: a whale shark passing by very closely.
The dive itself was superb. The instructors remained vigilant, ensuring our safety, while also pointing out various sea life and other interesting sights.
Unfortunately, during the dive, my partner lost her earring in the sea. However, the crew later located it, allowing us to retrieve it. We're truly grateful for such a wonderful experience.

PADI OWD and AOWD - I took a padi open water course and my partner took the padi advanced open water course. We felt super safe and the instructors were always so attentive to our physical and mental state. They have a big pool and I could exercise all skills for the open water certification in a really comfortable environment. Many thanks to Minosh for bring such an amazing instructor!

Perfect dive center I'll definitely return to - There are dive centers all over Sri Lanka and I'm so glad I chose this one. Everybody is very friendly, passionate and fun. But also maintain professionalism. I did the PADI open water diver course and felt like I received the best instruction from Roshan. I felt very confident with him as my instructor and it was good to see his passion for the ocean.
The diving itself was amazing at the different sites and we were able to see the giant Napoleon fish.

Couldn’t expect a better SCUBA Diving experience than this . - Thank you sun diving . I was always wanted try SCUBA diving but my fear didn’t make it happen. But after my friend recommendation me and my parents join with sun divers. We had a as wonderful experience that blow my mind. We are looking forward to dive with you soon in next year. Can’t wait.
