- 300 Nghi Tàm - You will be picked up at meeting points and transferred to a local wet market to explore the market and purchase fresh ingredients. After getting a glimpse of how locals do shopping for their meals, you will arrive at the experience venue and start your culinary journey with us.
At our kitchen - a rooftop facing the iconic West Lake, you will prepare and make authentic Bun Cha Hanoi and some other local cuisines (such as papaya salad, spring rolls, etc.) under the instruction of the host while learning about the history of the dishes as well as interesting culinary culture of Vietnam in general and Hanoi particularly. Once the food is ready, we will sit down and enjoy our work with fresh draft local beers, a panoramic view of Hanoi city and the lake, and many unique untold stories around Vietnamese eating etiquettes and culinary culture. Last but not least, you will be introduced to a secret homemade dessert made by us and experience it in a very traditional and authentic way.

Best cooking class in Hanoi! - It is, hands down, the best cooking class in Hanoi! He makes learning authentic Hanoi dishes so easy. He made sure to ask us prior if we had any food restrictions and gave us little approns to wear. He teaches you how to do everything and even sends u the recipe afterwards so you can make it back at home, all this with a beautiful view since the class is on the 6th floor! We even went to a local market to pickup some ingredients for the class and the teacher gave us more information on the herbs that were there and how it worked. He made us feel safe the whole time. I wont spoil anymore but believe me, this class went above and beyond our expectations. 10/10!

The best food experience ever! - We would like to extend a huge thank you to these guys for having us on this food experience! As soon as we booked the tour we were met with outstanding communication and a private pick up from our hostel in the old quarter. Driving to the venue was like having a personal tour guide of the city to ourselves, we were told of the history and culture of the significant sights.
Then we got to experience an authentic market, where real hanoians go to purchase the freshest ingredients for their meals. The vendors allowed us to gape and gaze and we experienced the process of purchasing the ingredients for the evenings meal.
Then the cooking!! Was so so much fun and we will take the tips on balancing flavours and ingredients with us into the future. We got great at wrapping spring rolls and were so excited to get cooking when all the prep was done.
The meal was absolutely delicious and a cold beer was welcome after all our tough work in the kitchen. Truly felt like having an authentic meal with family. The love put into the dishes was apparent!
There were only four of us in the class so we really got to get involved and ask questions throughout the whole process, ending the night sharing stories of our very different cultures and shared experiences.

Fantastic authentic Vietnamese find market tour and cooking class, focused on the Hanoi special: bun cha - Highly recommend this class! Thinh was a great host and teacher. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the food, and a good conversationalist. Very easy to book, and good communication about pick up times etc. Sent us a beautiful e-cookbook from the foods we made, looking forward to making these again when we get back home

Best Bun Cha you will ever have - First of all, I would like to express 100 times thanks to the hosts. They are lovely and know how to make you feel like it's home. Cheers to Thinh & My 🥂
The place is very beautiful and comes with a terrace for open cooking with a great skyline view of Hanoi.
The experience starts with picking you up and visiting the local market. You will learn so much from the stories of how Vietnam cuisine developed, how the ingredients are procured, and how much difference it makes if you choose one over the other, and will also get a chance to interact with lovely local vendors there.
The cooking experience is so much fun too, really helps you explore all your skills, from chopping, to rolling, to frying, to barbequing. You will get so much out of this cooking class. And the aroma when you are cooking or mixing ingredients is worth everything, you will experience a new kind of high for sure.
We cooked 3 dishes - 1) Papaya Salad 2) Spring Rolls & the main course 3) Bun cha.
Trust me the Bun Cha you cook here when you will take a bite, you will forget all the other ones you tried in fancy places. It's fresh, tasty, and amazing as you made it yourself.
This cooking class is one of the best activities you can take in Hanoi. So don't think and just go. You will have so much fun.

Amazing class with amazing instructors!!! - My cooking class in Hanoi with My and Dinh was an incredible experience! The trip to the market was amazing, with Dinh’s insightful explanations and infectious enthusiasm. The instructors were incredibly friendly, making us feel at ease throughout the class. The food we prepared was amazing and it was very hands on. We even got to barbecue all the meat! By the end of it all, we felt like old friends hanging out, sharing stories and laughter. I highly recommend this class for anyone seeking a memorable culinary adventure in Hanoi.

Amazing cooking experience! - This was such an amazing cooking class experience! Dean and My were amazing hosts and the event space they hosted the cooking class at was beautiful with incredible views of West Lake, and a beautiful sunset for the evening class. Their event space is beautifully decorated with such a fun vibe.
We enjoyed walking through the authentic market, and had a lovely time learning new tricks to cook amazing Vietnamese food. The food was the best I’ve ever had and by the end the hosts felt like old friends!
This experience was a highlight of our time in Hanoi and I would highly recommend to all!

FOR THE LOVE OF VIETNAMESE FOOD - A surprisingly authentic experience! Bun cha is my favorite Vietnamese dish, but eating it in Toronto is not the same as making it in Hanoi from ingredients I picked out myself. The hosts are friendly, and the space is cozy and clean with a fantastic view. We had an incredible time together. Highly recommend this to anyone that is in love with Vietnamese food.

More than a cooking class, an amazing experience ! - One of the greatest experience we had during our trip in Vietnam ! Not only we had the best Bun Cha of our life (sooo good, trust us, much better than the restaurant! We were full but it was so good we couldn’t stop eating), we also had a wonderful time with friends. This is not the usual cooking class with dozens of people and picking what to cook, this one is truly special : you will not regret it for sure ! Thinh and Mi speak fluently English and are super friendly which make the experience fun and the communication smooth. They will teach you all the tricks and secrets ingredients in order to cook at home a delicious Vietnamese dinner. On the top of that, good vibes, chilly atmosphere and beautiful rooftop with outstanding view !! I mean, what could me more cool and authentic than making a barbecue on a rooftop with an amazing view of Hanoi, and chatting with locals ? Even my boyfriend who usually don’t like cooking class that much had an amazing time too :)

An engaging cultural experience!! - As the title suggested, my friends and I did have more than just a cooking class offered by chef Dean. You probably couldn't expect someone so informative and full of details as Dean to be so interesting and fun at the same time! I was delighted to learn some intriguing facts about how Vietnamese put a lot of thoughts into making their daily food like Bun Cha: from choosing and mixing ingredients to the way they serve it. But the best part for me was being able to enjoy a great view of sunset while grilling the meatballs as the class happened to be on the 6th floor of a building.
Personally, I would highly recommend this experience if you have a chance to visit Hanoi!!! Hats off to Dean and all the staff involved for creating such a wonderful experience!

Lovely culinary workshop in Hanoi - It is not only a cooking workshop, where you get to know how the Hanoian make Bun Cha in an authentic way. It is a culinary experience, where you can learn more about Vietnamese cuisine and really enjoy good food. The hosts were so friendly and supportive. They gave us detailed cooking instructions and interesting fun facts about the dishes.
