- La Huaca del Sol - Upon arrival in Moche valley, we will be welcomed by a traditional family descendant of the ancient Mochica Culture. We will then visit the awesome Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, the center of power of the northern coast of Peru at the time of the Moche. We will be able to appreciate the outstanding group of frescoes in adobe in one of the walls of the Temple of the Moon, disclosed by the archeologists. Make sure you do this - This is not far out of Trujillo and a must see if you are in the area. Go to the museum first to get the historical perspective and then enjoy this relatively new excavation. Many uncoverings to see.

Very interesting excavation - These ruins are very large and seeing the process of excavation and the many layers uncovered are especially interesting. Many of the paintings are very well preserved and impressive. Worth seeing.
