Targoviste, a small town about 80 km from Bucharest, holds significant importance in the history of Romania. It was the royal capital of Wallachia since 1418 and continued to be so until the 16th century when it was shifted to Bucharest. The remnants of the former royal court are the main tourist attraction of the town. The city is also globally recognized as the execution site of Dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu and his wife, Elena, on Christmas Day, 1989.

Your tour will commence in the morning with pick up from your hotel by your driver and guide, who will take you to Targoviste. In Targoviste, you’ll explore key tourist spots like the Princely Court, The Chindia Tower, The Museum of Printing and Old Romanian Books, Museum of Human Evolution and Technology in Paleolithic, Stelea Monastery, and Dealu Monastery. The latter is an impressive piece of architecture in our country. It was constructed by the leader Radu the Great, a prince of Wallachia.
