Additional Information

Per Hindu cosmology, the zodiac system encompasses nine divine entities - the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu. A cluster of nine sacred edifices in Tamil Nadu’s southern region is each sanctified to one of these astral bodies. As per Hindu tradition, the influences of these cosmic bodies, whether propitious or deleterious, affect one’s astrological fate as they traverse their heavenly paths. Devotion to these deities is believed to ameliorate their unfavorable effects. Embark on a day trip from Trichy and pay homage at the Alangudi Temple of Jupiter.
