Wonderful Family Day - We enjoyed an incredible day. We learned a lot about Costa Rican habitat during the hike, enjoyed splashing in the waterfall, and relaxed in the Hot Springs. Our family built wonderful memories that will last so lifetime. Thank you.

This excursion was definitely worth the money - The first part of the hike was though the drylands, hence it was very hot. The second part goes through the transitional rainforest. The typography was very interesting throughout. Santos, our guide, did a good job spotting animals for us to look at. We did see a number of capuchin monkeys, birds, snakes, lizards, and a tapir. The waterfall was beautiful and very refreshing (pretty cold, at first) after the long hike. The hike was a bit strenuous due to all of the stairs but my entire family (ages 3-66), managed fine.

Hiking, swimming, mud pools all amazing! - We were collected from the hotel on time and were taken to Rincón by mini bus. Our tour guide Daphne was very informative and set out the day en route. We stopped for coffee on the way. The tour started with a very informative hike through the dry forest. (Good walking shoes req) We saw a snake hidden in the trees different birds, wild turkey etc. From the car park we changed into swimwear and walked down to the waterfall (pool shoes req), across a wooden suspension bridge which was hair raising! The waterfall was quiet and only 2 groups were there at one time. The freezing water was amazing. Once finished we walked across another bridge to return to the bus. We were then taken to the hot springs & mud baths. Differing temperatures in each pool was amazing to see. Walking across more rope wooden bridges to access them. We were taken for a very nice buffet lunch. All in all a great tour.

Hot but Fun Hike with Great Waterfall and Hot Springs - We had a really great time with our guide, Santos. He was very knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna we experienced throughout the day. We were able to see lots of wildlife such as capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, various lizards and birds, and were able to see a tapir close to the trail! The waterfall and hot springs were really cool and refreshing after the hot hike. A very fun experience!

A great tour but a long day. - The sights were amazing and the different portions combos (waterfall and hot springs) were very relaxing. I enjoyed the walk but it felt very rushed at times to get through the walk and onto the next portion of the trip. My focus was the hike hoping to see a multitude of wildlife and birds. Although we did see some wildlife the trails were extremely busy which I think reduced the amount of wildlife that could be seen. That was the only part of the trip I found disappointing. I knew it would be a long day and it was. The meal at the Hacienda Guachipelin was great and staff very friendly. Our guide for the tour Nicole was very nice.

Rincon Park - volcano, waterfall, mud, hot springs - - 3.30.24 good, not quite great - alejandro was awesome on our trip from the resort to the mtg point where we switched vans for our excursion into Rincon. He gave historical information, volcano/tectonic plates info...etc. Very interesting and engaging. Nicole led us on our trip thru Rincon. Super friendly - we found probably 6-8 small monkeys in the trees on our hike, which was an awesome find. Stayed there probably 10min watching them and taking pics. Saw a large bird w a large yellow beak walking in forest that was cool to see. Otherwise disappointed w all we'd heard about Costa Rica w wildlife we'd likely get to see. But, didn't realize it was the dry season when we booked, so now we understand that late March in Guanacaste is drier and so less likely to catch some of those otherwise typical sites. The boiling hot mud pit and the sulfur steam rising out of rocks was cool. Got to put on volcanic mud and soak in hot springs - actually not bad even considering we were in 90+ degree (F) weather. The waterfalls was beautiful (and pretty chilly, but refreshing). I"d rate it higher if we had seen more animals on our hike. But as Nicole said - you can't make promises about nature!!

Poor organization - The scenery was beautiful, however our group was 15 plus the guide and it should have been no bigger than 7 or 8 total. 45 minutes late and a lot of confusion about what was happening when. Good lunch spot.

Just ok - I was expecting to see more wildlife (birds, butterflies, mammals, reptiles), but we only saw a few iguanas, one snake, and a few unique birds. The hike is nice to the waterfall and the hot springs were different. If you’re afraid of heights, I would suggest not doing this tour. There are some suspended bridges that you have to cross. Depending on where you’re catching the tour bus pick-up, it can be upwards of 2 hours both ways. Be prepared for a long day. I think if we had visited at a different time of year, the experience would have been more interesting.
