Additional Information

Experience a unique adventure in Bangkok through a long-tail boat tour that guides you to the core of Thonburi, which was once a separate province but is now smoothly combined with the vibrant city. Observe the genuine local lifestyle that is usually concealed from the city across the river.

Historically, Bangkok was recognized as a city of canals, thus receiving its nickname as the ‘Venice of the East.’ These canals, termed as ‘klongs,’ were utilized for transportation, floating markets and even waste disposal. Even though many of these klongs are now filled up, Thonburi, located on the western bank of the Chao Phraya River, has kept several of its wider canals, providing a snapshot into the city’s abundant past and indigenous culture.

South African Solo Traveler - I had a wonderful time in Bangkok, Thailand. I stayed at the Central Centara Hotel and had the opportunity to visit the exquisite Ahuttay Temples, as well as experience the vibrant floating and railway markets.

Boat trip is a must in Bangkok - Really interesting you see a part of Bangkok you just would not be able To on foot. Really enjoyed this boat trip. It was with a big group of people approx 30 (so if you want smaller not for you). I found it hard to understand the Thai Guide due to her accent but the things I did understand was fantastic.
