The Best Start for Our Honeymoon! - We have always wanted to see the big wave, and boy did we! But that’s not all. The half day tour takes you down the peninsula for up close looks at the lush Tahiti-iti west coast—past the end of the road, where residents can only get to and from their homes by boat. Some of the most beautiful coral, and stunning colorful fish. A stop for snorkeling at the sand bar is the perfect way to cool off in the mid-afternoon. And then once you’re all salty, straight to an enchanted jungle river for the most refreshing rope swing dip into the cold fresh water. The hosts make the entire experience so much more amazing! They give you all the fun facts and are among the friendliest folks we’ve ever met. As we were the only native English speakers on the boat, they put in the effort to translate all of the heavy-hitting jokes and laughs from the others. An absolutely perfect way to start our honeymoon. Thank you so much for an amazing time!

Amazing! - We had such fun! They took us all over and we got to see things we wouldn't have been able to see otherwise. They gave us a glimpse into life on the island. It was amazing!

A perfect half day trip - It's a fairly long car ride from Papeete (some 90 minutes), but well worth it. This family run business has been around for quite some time, and unlike their "new" competition, eager to jump on the Olympic games bandwagon, they know what they're doing and where to go. A perfect halfday trip, with some refreshments and fruit from the owners'garden. What else ?

To do without fail! - To do without fail in French Polynesia, What a great experience with Haunui and Robert. We left the marina at 9:00 a.m. and returned at 12:30 p.m. Very nice stop for snorkeling for 30 to 45 minutes, colorful fish. Then, visit to the big wave which is really impressive, the French team was there to practice, it was a pleasure to watch them. We leave for a small river and a short walk in the forest with very pleasant swimming. Haunui gives us very interesting information about the region. Lunch is served to us, the homemade tuna bread is excellent. Then slowly it's back to the marina passing through a marine reserve where the corals are of rare beauty. A superb experience that I recommend.

Great experience even with bad weather - Even though the weather did not cooperate and we did not get to explore Tahiti Iti as much as we (and the guides!) would have wanted, the guides and captain were extremely nice and tried to find as many ways as possible to give us the best experience. We went to a snorkeling spot, saw the waves for quite a while and they thoroughly explained all the sites. This is a family run business and it felt amazing to support them and learn more about French Polynesia. Since we couldn’t explore the full area due to weather, they treated us with an amazing lunch at the Plage de Maui (you should check this place regardless, food was excellent). Highly recommend and can’t wait to do it again with better weather.

Great way to experience Teahupoo! - I’m staying in Punaauia which is about an hour drive from Teahupoo but definitely worth the trip, I mean why not explore as far south as you can go on the island?? I signed up for the half day but lucked out that everyone else on the boat was signed up for the full day, so they asked if I wanted to do full instead - Um.., yeah! Started out on the boat with some coffee, cinnamon pancake type things, and fruit. From there the we cruised through the lagoon to check out the big wave break where the Tahiti Pro surf competition takes place every year. After that we made our way over to a reef for snorkeling. All the while a lovely young lady named Tau acted as our tour guide explaining in both French and English all of the sights, cultural significance, and some other good commentary. We hung out and snorkeled for a good 45 - 60 minutes and after that proceeded to the peninsula, now there is no way of accessing this area by land so the only way you will see it is to take this tour. Once we docked we set off for a pretty awesome hike along the coastline which culminated with us hiking through a waterfall cave to another bigger waterfall that you can swim around and under, very refreshing! After all of that we made our way to the river Vano I think it’s called where we relaxed and ate poke with coconut vegetable curry, poke with curry/ black pepper and oil, Ume fish, fried rice, pasta, bbq chicken bits, and bbq sausage. I opted for the local beer while the others went for the rum punch. The others went to explore the river and swing on ropes while I stayed aboard and napped while listening to some chill music. On the way down and back we saw 4 whales breach which was pretty cool. So yeah, overall great day and worth ever penny. Thank you to Tau and the rest of the crew including the dachshund Tiki who is the captains first mate I believe 😁.
