Must see if traveling to St. Thomas - I've traveled to several islands in the Caribean and this is one of my favorite Islands! I was a little nervous about traveling to St. Thomas after the hurricane a couple of years ago, but the island has rebounded quite a bit and it's beautiful! Highly recommend seeing Magens Bay if you're traveling to St. Thomas. The local people are so kind and very helpful! The beach is gorgeous and the water is amazing!!!

Beautiful beach and nice tour of he area. - Loved swimming at this beautiful beach. You can go out quite a distance and it will only be chest deep and the waters are very calm. The tour also included seeing some sights on the way. I definitely recommend this if you love going to the beach.

This tour was amazing, fun, and very... -
This tour was amazing, fun, and very fulfilling! We stopped at 3 different spots with gorgeous views and then headed to Magen's Bay with more than enough time to enjoy this beautiful beach, and a delicious burger right on the beach. Can't wait to go back to St. Thomas. This was my 4th time in this wonderful and unique island! People here are very nice and kind always!

Not Top 10, but clean - How this is voted a Top 10 Beach is beyond me. It doesn't even come in my top 20. Too Crowded, have to go through a rocky section to get out to the water, water not clear. Nice, but there are a bunch of other beaches on the island that are better. Also, this is the most expensive of them. $5 per person to park plus $2 for the car.

Great beach - Very nice long, sandy, shallow beach with plenty of people there enjoying it. Has nice facilities - restrooms, showers, food, drinks, shade, chairs, etc. Very easy to get a taxi to and from.

Small but very pretty. - A very pretty beach with clear, calm water, but I was surprised at how small it was. That being said, it was not too crowded the day we went because it wasn’t a cruise boat day. My advice would be to plan accordingly.

Started out Rocky, ended up Fine - So the description in TA doesn't really reflect what this activity includes. When i booked it said 1-6 people so i mistakenly thought i was hiring a car. the description also focuses exclusively on the beach. "Spend a day relaxing at the gorgeous beaches and warm, turquoise waters of Magen's Bay" So i thought we would have flexibility of having a private driver. ie some of our party could leave the beach early for shopping and others could spend the day at the beach. I was taken aback to discover its a shared "tour" of the island with a group open-aired taxi (think large golf cart). and before you get to the beach the driver takes you through the city and up the mountain for scenic photo op (nice) followed by a 30 minute stop at an enormous tourist shopping store home of the Banana Daiquiri LOL (they sell so many because they don't sell any other flavor). After two hours on the cart you get to the beach for a three hour stay (so not the entire day). forgot to mention that on the way to the beach you get the benefit of a running commentary from the driver through the worst speakers in the history of audio. Completely unintelligible but you learn to tune it out. In retrospect my three adult children who were with me all agreed that the open aired cart was actually preferable to a car because of the views and the breeze. As for the beach the views are absolutely stunning! essentially three sides of a square bordering the bay with green vegetation up the mountains. The sand itself is nice but nothing unique. and its not a deep beach. no more than 10-20 yards but it goes on for a mile. The parking lot where you get dropped off is at one end, where the sole bar/lunch counter is. so of course the beach is very crowed there but the further down you lug everything the further you need to go to get drinks and lunch. everything on the menu is basically $20 (food is chicken sandwiches burgers, chicken tenders etc. and comes with fries). Surprisingly despite the long lines the process is very efficient (what seems like a crazy long line for drinks turns out to be about 10 minutes and the food is even faster). we were there on a day that FIVE cruise ships were docked so the beach very much felt like a football stadium parking lot. We had snorkeling equipment and if you go out far enough there were some turtles but our day the water was not very clear so snorkeling wasn't really worth it. So was it worth it? I'd have to say yes. The beach was crazy busy, the sand was nothing unusual BUT the view and surrounding mountains is an experience you likely won't have a chance to have many times in your life. and three hours turned out to be just the right amount to get in the ocean a few times, have a cold drink and a burger and take dozens of photos. so if you manage your expectations this actually wasn't a bad tour. It just wasn't what was described on TA. and the "tour" aspect was better than a taxi to the beach in that we did get scenic vies and a chance to buy gifts for all the folks back home. so what started as a very annoying "tour" actually was quite a nice day.

Not What I Expected. However beautiful beach - We had booked this tour by ourselves. Everything was done by text or e mail. I paid it by Pay Pal and confirm by phone call. I booked 12 people and received a confirmation e mailed tha we were going to be picked up at 9 am from the West Indies port or the Windmill port. Our shipped arrived at 7:00 am. So at 7:37 they send me a text stating that the driver was leaving. We were having breakfast at that time and I had left my phone in the Cabin expecting to go down at 8:30 am since we were supposed to be picked up at nine. When I got to the room at 7:45 am I tried to contact the agency and they informed me that they had send an e mail four days ago stating that they were going to pick us up at 7:30 am. I looked at all my e mails and the Span folder and no e mail was found Then I spoke to some one and they told me that they were going to send the driver back at 10:30 am. So we waited. Megan’s Bay it’s probably the best beach in the world. We have been there many times. However the people that work there are very nasty. The chairs and umbrellas have a thirty dollar deposit. I can not imagine some one trying to take a lounge chair and umbrella in the little bus and trying to put it in the cruise ship. The worst part is that you have to drag your chairs and umbrella and set it up yourself. Then drag it back have your receipt stamped and get on a super long line so the lady in the store which she takes her sweet time, will return your thirty dollars. We had some guest leave early and they left the chairs and umbrellas set up they did not bother to get their deposit back and some one else came to seat there just to be able to eat and one of the attendants came and scream at the lady and told her that if she wanted to seat there she had to pay for the chair and umbrella. The other negative of this place is that you have to pay an additional five dollars to get to Megan’s Bay it is not included in the price that they quote you. Also the food service is terrible, it is expensive and takes for ever to get your food. Also the person charging you and giving your food is also very rude and pushy. I recommend Megan’s Bay. But is better to either rent a vehicle or get a taxi and be aware if the chair, umbrella and food dilemas.

Not what was advertised. - NOT what we wanted. We booked the beach transfer. We did NOT want the multi-stop shop and sight see option. So we choice this offering. Almost 2 hours of our excursion was spent going to different shops and outlooks. This is NOT the “straight to the beach” excursion that is advertised. Very disappointed. Once we got there, the beach was beautiful. Very crowded. But good bar service despite sooooo many other tourists.
