The volcanic burst in 79 AD led to the demolition and burial of Pompeii. However, following the disaster, its remnants were discovered almost impeccably preserved under volcanic ash blankets. Indeed, millennia later, the spectral avenues can still be visited, with access to private residences, public structures, and eateries. Through the expedition, in the company of our certified guides, you’ll get a clear image of existence in the days leading up to the eruption.
Commencing from Sorrento, around 8:00 in the morning, headed towards the archaeological digs of Pompeii, a guided journey spanning about 2 hours, and then returning to Sorrento.
