Highlights
  • Cours de cuisine Siena - Join this 4-hour of Tuscan cooking class in Siena. The school was the first school of international cuisine born in Siena, founded in 1996.

The lessons will be held by Lella, the owner of the cooking school, that has always been a passionate researcher into old texts on cookery, and her lessons combine a mixture of both ancient and family recipes, coupled with only the healthiest and most authentic local ingredients.

The menu is not always the same, but every time we prepare 5-6 recipes, find an example below.

Of course we can choose between various starters, soups, fresh pastas with related condiments, ravioli, gnocchi and pici. For example, there can be a main course of meat or fish with side dishes made with fresh vegetables in season. Desserts can be typical from Tuscany, or typical of other Italian regions.

At the end of each lesson, the meal is served with the food prepared during the lesson and is accompanied by rac14 of excellent Chianti wine per person.

Lella teaches how to prepare a full Tuscan menĂą from starter to dessert including a fresh home-made pasta.

Great experience and overall value. - We had a wonderful time and enjoyed learning how to make each item on the menu although most of the experience is watching and helping occasionally. We did make the pasta from scratch. The other items would have been impossible to cook individually but we were given instructions and were able to take notes so we can give everything a try once we get home. Everyone seemed to have a great time and the meal was excellent. The chef and facilitator were awesome and fun Be aware that you have to find parking and walk about a 1/4 mile to the facility if you are driving. Even if you take a taxi you still have to walk a ways to get to the class. Allow extra time especially if driving. Some reviews complained that the chef spoke in Italian with an interpreter. That is true but he also spoke very clear English as well.

Cooking in Tuscany! - This class was the best activity we’ve done since we came to Italy! Absolutely perfect blend of instruction, participation and socializing for our group of 16, all from the states. Francesco and Julie were awesome and we would highly recommend this class to anyone looking for some good old Italian cooking and lots of fun meeting people from all over! The 4 hours flew by and we ended the night by drinking wine and eating the delicious meal we all helped create! Definitely worth the time and money!

Great cooking experience - I signed up for this class because I wanted to learn how to make the classic Siena dish of Pici pasta. I learned that and so much more! Excellent instructions, fully equiped kitchen, hands-on, fun, and everything we prepared tasted great. Very easy to walk to if you are staying near Piazza del Compo. I would highly recommend it.

Absolute Highlight of Our Trip to Tuscany! - My fiancée and I booked this class for our last day in Siena & it was probably my favorite thing we did throughout our weeklong trip in Italy! Francesco, who was an excellent instructor, led our class of 5, which was nice because it allowed us to get a little more individualized help when needed. We made a full 4 course meal of Tuscan dishes & everything was absolutely outstanding! It was great experience, and learning to make traditional Tuscan pasta was extremely cool - I can't wait to start making it at home! I cannot recommend this class enough, we both had such a great time!
